Letβs Have an Honest Conversation About Breasts

Breasts are among the most talked about and medically researched parts of the human body, yet many of us are embarrassed to discuss our breast health openly.Β
Allure Perspectives, a new podcast hosted by Allure editor-in-chief Jessica Cruel, spends its first season exploring how breasts intersect with beauty, health, identity, sexuality, and culture. Episodes feature Olivia Munn on the test she says to take even if your mammogram is clear, sex educator Ericka Hart on reclaiming her body after breast cancer, and a Beverly Hills surgeon on why GLP-1s are driving a surge in breast lifts. North Adams Street Bridge in Lower Pottsgrove Closes Nov. 9 for Replacement

North Adams Street bridge over Sprogelβs Run, near Buchert Road in Lower Pottsgrove, will close starting Nov. 9 so its superstructure can be replaced with new beams and decking.
The work by G & B Construction of Feasterville will cost nearly $681,000, with $310,145 coming from the Montgomery County transportation program and the township covering the rest.
Residents will still be able to reach their homes using Woodland Drive or Buchert Road, and the township says trash collection and mail delivery will continue as usual.
US 422 Traffic Shift Brings Lane Closures Nov. 6 to 7 Near Sanatoga

PennDOT will shift traffic on US 422 from 7 PM Friday, Nov. 6, to 7 PM Saturday, Nov. 7, with lane closures in both directions between the Sanatoga and Hanover Street interchanges.
Westbound drivers will move onto the newly rebuilt westbound lanes, marking the start of the final stage of the $83.6 million project to rebuild about 2.1 miles of the expressway.
Backups are expected and the schedule depends on the weather, so plan a little extra time if you are heading that way.
Clocks Fell Back Overnight, So It Is a Good Time to Check Smoke and CO Alarms
Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commissioner reminds to replace the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms as the clocks turn back this weekend.
Pennsylvania reported 153 home fire deaths in 2025, the most in the nation, and working alarms give families precious extra time to get out.
If you do not have an alarm, you can request a free smoke alarm from the American Red Cross through the Ready PA website.

ποΈ Pottstown History: John F. Hartranft
of New Hanover Township

John F. Hartranft was born on Dec. 16, 1830, near Pottstown in New Hanover Township.
At the First Battle of Bull Run in July 1861, he stayed on as a volunteer aide after his regimentβs term of service ran out and helped rally several regiments, which later earned him the Medal of Honor.
In 1865 he served as special provost marshal for the trial of the Lincoln assassination conspirators, and in July of that year he read the death warrants to those condemned.
He went on to serve as Pennsylvaniaβs governor from 1873 to 1879 and reorganized the state militia as part of the National Guard.
With Veterans Day coming up on Nov. 11, he is a fitting neighbor to remember.
