Your K-Cup Has Been Sitting in a Warehouse for Months

That grocery store pod? It was roasted long before it hit the shelf. Coffee starts losing flavor within weeks of roasting — which is why your morning cup tastes flat, no matter how nice your machine is.

Angelino's does it differently. A third-generation roaster in Los Angeles, they roast, grind, and seal every pod in-house for peak freshness, then ship it to your door within days of roasting. The difference is the first thing you'll notice: real aroma, real flavor, no bitterness.

Mix and match from 50+ specialty coffees, teas, and flavored blends — all Keurig®-compatible — and save more with every box you add, up to 34% off at 12+. Order once whenever you're running low, or subscribe for an extra 5% if that's easier. Entirely up to you.

New customers get 15% off their first order — applied automatically, no code needed.

Meme of the Day

Pennsylvania Schools Will Go Phone-Free Bell to Bell Starting in 2027-28

Quiet sunlit classroom with empty wooden desks, a blank chalkboard and a shelf of phone pouches

Gov. Josh Shapiro signed Senate Bill 1014 on Monday, setting a bell-to-bell cellphone rule for every Pennsylvania public, charter, cyber charter and private school.

Students won’t be able to use personal phones at any point in the school day, including lunch, recess and time between classes.

The rule takes effect in the 2027-28 school year, which gives districts time to write their own policies, and Pennsylvania joins more than two dozen states with similar rules.

Yelp Names Top 10 Outdoor Dining Spots Near Pottstown

Travels With The Post shares Yelp’s new Top 10 list for outdoor dining near Pottstown: J.J. Ratigan Brewing, Sly Fox, Jack Cassidy’s, the Tiki Bar in Boyertown, SunnyBrook Ballroom, Ron’s Crooked Hill Tavern, Stone House Grille in Kimberton, Piccolo Mondo, Spring Hollow in Spring City and The Blue Elephant.

The Post notes this week should be mostly sunny and 65 to 75 degrees through Friday before Halloween weekend turns colder, so there’s still time to enjoy a meal outside.

Also on the dining front, the Chick-fil-A at 70 Buckwalter Rd. in Royersford reopened Wednesday, Oct. 21, after about four months of remodeling, and it still has two drive-thru lanes.

Travels With The Post reports that Pennsylvania is putting about $2 million into its wine industry, including $1.08 million over two years for a Pennsylvania Winery Association marketing campaign covering more than 400 wineries and more than $829,000 for 11 Penn State research projects.

The state Department of Agriculture announced the funding Friday, Oct. 23, at Penns Woods Winery in Chadds Ford.

Pennsylvania now ranks fourth in the nation in wine production, and The Post points to wineries within 20 miles of Pottstown, including Terra Pachem in Boyertown, Manatawny Creek in Douglassville, Ridgewood in Bechtelsville and Birdsboro, Adello in Perkiomenville, Stone Barn Cellars in Spring City, Aulenbach in Oley and Evansburg in Collegeville.

Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, when clocks fall back one hour.

Standard time then runs until daylight saving time returns on Sunday, March 14, 2027.

It’s a good weekend to enjoy the extra hour of sleep and reset any clocks that don’t change on their own.

🌉 Pottstown History: America’s First Iron Truss Bridge

Early iron truss railroad bridge with coal cars over a misty wooded creek in morning light

A state historical marker at High and York streets notes that the first iron truss bridge in the United States was built in 1845 in the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad’s blacksmith shop in Pottstown.

Designed by Richard B. Osborne in 1844, it followed the Howe truss pattern but used no wood at all.

Crews put it up on May 3 and 4, 1845, over a small creek near West Manayunk, where it carried heavy coal trains bound for Philadelphia.

The bridge went on to serve the railroad into the 20th century.
