Pottstown Local Scoop is inviting the community to recognize their favorite local restaurants, cafés, bakeries, breweries, and other dining destinations as nominations open for Best of Pottstown Food & Drink 2026.

Residents can nominate businesses across a variety of food and beverage categories, including restaurants, coffee shops, bars, pizza shops, brunch spots, bakeries, takeout favorites, breweries, dessert destinations, and more.

The community-driven contest aims to highlight the local establishments that residents return to time and again, whether it's a favorite neighborhood restaurant, a go-to coffee shop, or a hidden gem worth sharing.

Community members can submit nominations online by visiting the official Best of Pottstown ballot.

Hobart's Run Extends Deadline for Increased Homebuyer Grant Funding in Pottstown

Prospective homebuyers looking to purchase a home in Pottstown's ETOD or Hobart's Run neighborhoods now have additional time to take advantage of enhanced financial assistance.

Hobart's Run has announced that the deadline for its increased homebuyer grant funding has been extended through Dec. 31, 2026. The program is designed to help eligible buyers reduce out-of-pocket costs and strengthen their purchase offers when buying qualifying homes within the designated neighborhoods.

Real estate agents with participating properties are displaying signs to identify homes that qualify for the program.

The initiative is made possible through a partnership with the Pottstown Regional Community Foundation, which continues to support efforts to encourage homeownership and neighborhood investment.

Philadelphia Watch Trade Show Returns

for Two-Day Collector Event

Watch collectors, enthusiasts, and first-time buyers will have the opportunity to explore thousands of timepieces when the Philadelphia Watch Trade Show returns to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center on Aug. 28-29.

Held in Hall D, the two-day public event brings together dealers, collectors, and watch enthusiasts from across the region to buy, sell, and trade everything from vintage classics and pocket watches to modern luxury brands, independent microbrands, and rare collectibles.

Attendees are encouraged to bring watches from their own collections to sell or trade directly with vendors and fellow collectors. Whether searching for a hard-to-find piece, expanding a collection, or simply browsing, visitors will find a wide variety of timepieces to fit nearly every style and budget.

In addition to shopping, guests can meet knowledgeable dealers and collectors, learn more about watch collecting, and enjoy the atmosphere of one of the region's premier events dedicated to horology.
