Boyertown Salvation Army Invites Teens to Youth Gathering on Aug. 21st

The Salvation Army Boyertown Corps is inviting local teens to a Youth Gathering on Friday, Aug. 21, offering an evening of fellowship, fun and community.

The event begins at 7 p.m. and is open to youth ages 12–17, including students in grades 7–12.

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with other teens, enjoy s'mores, and take part in activities designed to encourage friendship and a sense of belonging. Participants are also encouraged to bring a friend.

Community Cleanup Planned for

North Franklin Street in Pottstown

Residents are invited to roll up their sleeves and help beautify the neighborhood during a community cleanup on Saturday, Sept. 26, in Pottstown.

Organized by Pottstown Community Action, the cleanup will take place from 10 a.m. to noon along North Franklin Street, between East Street and Beech Street.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome, including families, neighbors and friends. Organizers will provide gloves, trash bags and water, and participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes.

The event aims to bring the community together while helping create cleaner, safer streets for residents.

Vinny Guadagnino to Make SoulJoel's Debut with Four Comedy Shows in Pottstown

Television personality and comedian Vinny Guadagnino will make his SoulJoel's debut with four stand-up comedy performances at the Historic SunnyBrook Ballroom in Pottstown.

The special event will take place on Friday, Aug. 21, and Saturday, Aug. 22, with shows scheduled for 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. each evening. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.

Best known for his role on MTV's "Jersey Shore" and its spinoff "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation," Guadagnino has expanded his career through television, live entertainment, writing, and comedy. He has also appeared on shows including "Dancing with the Stars," "Double Shot at Love," and "All-Star Shore."

General admission tickets start at $30, with preferred seating and optional meet-and-greet packages available. Food will be available before and after each show at Gatsby's Pub, and beverages will be served throughout the event.
