Pottstown Parks & Recreation Opens Registration for Fall Youth Sports Programs

The Borough of Pottstown Parks & Recreation Department, in partnership with Skyhawks Sports – Delaware Valley, has opened registration for its fall youth sports programs.

Programs will be offered at park locations throughout the borough and are designed for children of various ages and skill levels. This season's offerings include Tot Baseball, Tot Golf, Preschool Basketball, Elementary Soccer, and Preschool MultiSports.

Officials say the programs are intended to introduce young athletes to sports in a fun, supportive environment while making participation convenient for local families.

Registration is now open through the Parks & Recreation online registration portal.

The Bacon Brothers Bring "People In The World Tour" to SunnyBrook Ballroom

The Bacon Brothers, featuring actor and musician Kevin Bacon and Emmy Award-winning composer Michael Bacon, will bring their People In The World Tour to the Historic SunnyBrook Ballroom in Pottstown on Thursday, Aug. 20.

Presented by SoulJoel's, the concert begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. Singer-songwriter Kendal Conrad will open the show.

Known for blending folk, rock, soul, and country into a sound they call "forosoco," The Bacon Brothers have spent nearly three decades performing together at venues across the United States and around the world. Their latest release, "Ballad of the Brothers," continues that musical journey with a mix of Americana, rock, soul, and storytelling.

All seating for the performance is theater-style, with four ticket options available ranging from general admission to VIP seating. Food will be available before and after the concert at Gatsby's Pub, and a full bar will be available inside the ballroom.

Reading Fightin Phils to Host Morning Game as the "Iced Coffees" on Aug. 25th

The Reading Fightin Phils are inviting fans to one of the club's most anticipated games of the season when the team takes the field as the Reading Iced Coffees on Tuesday, Aug. 25.

First pitch is scheduled for 11 a.m., giving baseball fans the opportunity to enjoy a morning game at the ballpark.

The first 2,000 adults through the gates will receive a free Reading Iced Coffees hat while supplies last.

Tickets are on sale now, with seats still available for the special promotion.
