The Borough of Pottstown Parks and Recreation Department has announced updated session times for its Adult Pick-Up Soccer pilot program, which begins Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the new soccer pitch in Pollock Park.

The free program is open to adults ages 18 and older and will run for four weeks, from Aug. 12 through Sept. 2. Due to limited field space, each session is capped at 15 players, and advance registration is required.

Participants can choose from one of two Wednesday evening sessions:

⚽ Event: Adult Pick-Up Soccer (18+)

📅 Dates: Wednesdays, Aug. 12 – Sept. 2, 2026

📍 Location: Soccer Pitch at Pollock Park, Pottstown

💲 Cost: Free

👥 Eligibility: Adults ages 18 and older

🕕 Session 1: 6–7 p.m.

🕖 Session 2: 7–8 p.m.

📝 Registration: Required in advance

⚠️ Capacity: Limited to 15 players per session.

The Boyertown Park and Recreation Board is preparing for Halloween with the return of its annual Haunted Trails event on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Boyertown Community Park.

The event will run from 4 to 8 p.m. and will feature Trunk or Treat activities for families, along with the park's popular Haunted Trail. Organizers note that the Haunted Trail is intended to be a spooky attraction and may not be suitable for very young children or those who are easily frightened.

Community members interested in participating can register to decorate a vehicle for Trunk or Treat or volunteer to portray a character or create a themed scene along the Haunted Trail. All participants must be approved by the Boyertown Park and Recreation Board.

The deadline to register is Tuesday, Sept. 1.

The Pottsgrove Soccer Club is now accepting registrations for its Fall 2026 soccer season, with programs available for players ranging from young beginners to competitive youth athletes.

The club's Intramural Program is open to players in U6, U8, and U10 divisions, serving children with birthdates between Aug. 1, 2016, and July 31, 2022. The program focuses on skill development, teamwork, and fun in a supportive environment.

Older players with birthdates on or before July 31, 2016 are eligible to participate in the Suburban County Soccer League (SCSL), which offers competitive league play while continuing player development.
