Comedian Eddie Ifft to Headline

SoulJoel's on Aug. 14

National touring comedian Eddie Ifft will bring his stand-up comedy show to SoulJoel's in Pottstown on Friday, Aug. 14.

The performance begins at 8 p.m. at SoulJoel's, located at 50 SunnyBrook Road, with doors opening 30 minutes before showtime.

Known for his energetic storytelling and observational humor, Ifft draws material from his experiences as a father, traveler, and outdoor enthusiast. During his nearly three-decade comedy career, he has performed internationally, appeared at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, auditioned for Saturday Night Live, and performed at the Mark Twain Prize event in Washington, D.C.

Ifft is also the creator of Stand-Up and Send It, a series that pairs professional action sports athletes with stand-up comedy while challenging Ifft to participate in their sports, including surfing, skiing, mountain biking, and endurance events.

General admission tickets are $20, while preferred seating is available for $30.

Part-Time Team Members

The Carousel at Pottstown is looking to add new members to its team and is now accepting applications for part-time positions.

Applicants must be at least 15 years old. Those interested can visit the Carousel on Saturdays or Sundays between noon and 4 p.m. to speak with Deborah, pick up an application, and learn more about the available position.

Hobart's Run is once again participating in Boscov's Department Stores' Friends Helping Friends fundraising campaign, giving shoppers a chance to support local community programs while receiving a discount on their purchases.

Supporters can purchase a $5 shopping pass from Hobart's Run through Tuesday, Oct. 20. The pass provides 25% off eligible purchases during the one-day Friends Helping Friends event on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Every dollar raised through pass sales will directly support Hobart's Run's neighborhood engagement initiatives and community programming in Pottstown. Participants who purchase a shopping pass will also have the opportunity to register to win a $100 Boscov's gift card.
