Montgomery County Community College to Host American Red Cross Blood Drive

Montgomery County Community College is inviting community members to donate blood during an American Red Cross Blood Drive at its Pottstown Campus on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
Organizers say a single blood donation can help save lives and are encouraging donors of all blood types to participate. The drive is part of ongoing efforts to help maintain an adequate blood supply for hospitals and patients in need.
Community members who are eligible to donate are encouraged to consider making blood donation a regular part of supporting their local community.

Free Comedy Open Mic Returns
to Rivet in Pottstown on Aug. 3

Comedy fans are invited to Rivet: Canteen & Assembly for a free Comedy Open Mic Night on Monday, Aug. 3, featuring more than a dozen comedians performing new material.
Presented by the nonprofit Die Laughing, Inc., the show will showcase a variety of comics delivering fast-paced, five-minute sets in an evening of stand-up comedy.
The event is free to attend, but guests are encouraged to register in advance. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and attendees must be 18 or older.

Steel River Playhouse Promotes
Stacey Michaud to Artistic Director

Steel River Playhouse has announced the promotion of Stacey Michaud to Artistic Director.
Michaud has been part of the Pottstown theater for more than a decade, playing a key role in numerous productions, educational programs, and community initiatives. Theater officials credited her creativity, leadership, and dedication with helping shape the organization's artistic success over the years.
In her new role, Michaud will lead Steel River Playhouse's artistic vision as the organization continues to produce live performances and expand its programming for the community.
