CHDC Collecting Donations for Street Medicine Program During National Health Center Week

Community Health & Dental Care (CHDC) is collecting donations to support its Street Medicine Program as part of National Health Center Week, helping provide essential supplies to individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity throughout the community.

Donations will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 7, with collection bins located near the front desks at all CHDC office locations. The donation drive is open to staff, patients, and community members who wish to contribute.

Requested items include travel-size hygiene products, over-the-counter medications, bottled water, towels and washcloths, compression socks, and gift cards to local retailers and restaurants. Hobart's Run Encourages Residents

to Adopt Neighborhood Trash Cans

Hobart's Run is inviting residents, neighborhood groups, and local businesses to help keep Pottstown clean by participating in its Adopt-a-Trash Can program.

The free initiative allows volunteers to "adopt" a Hobart's Run trash can located on their block. Hobart's Run will deliver and install the trash can, while participating residents help monitor and maintain it. The organization says the program has proven to be an effective way to reduce litter and improve neighborhood cleanliness.

Hobart's Run is also seeking sponsors to help expand the program. Businesses and individuals who contribute financially will help fund additional trash cans throughout the community and will be recognized for supporting efforts to create a cleaner Pottstown.
