Carousel at Pottstown to Host

2nd Annual Community Day on Aug. 8

Families are invited to enjoy an afternoon of free activities during the 2nd Annual Carousel Community Day at The Carousel at Pottstown on Saturday, Aug. 8.

The event will take place from 12 to 4 p.m. and will feature free carousel rides, a bounce house, and face painting for children. Food will also be available for purchase throughout the afternoon.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet adoptable dogs from To Love a Canine Rescue, giving prospective pet owners a chance to learn more about adoption while enjoying the family-friendly event.

Carousel Community Day is designed to bring families together for an afternoon of fun, entertainment, and community activities.

Comedy Show Featuring

Sarah Tollemache and Katie Hannigan

Comedy fans can enjoy an evening of stand-up as Sarah Tollemache and Katie Hannigan headline a special comedy show at SoulJoel's at SunnyBrook Ballroom on Friday, July 17.

Both comedians are nationally recognized performers with appearances on late-night television, Comedy Central, and major comedy festivals.

Katie Hannigan has appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Central, MTV, and the Just For Laughs New Faces showcase. In addition to stand-up, she has acted in television series including Succession and That Damn Michael Che. Her debut comedy album, Feeling of Emptiness, was recognized as one of the top comedy albums of 2022.

Sarah Tollemache has performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Central's Roast Battle, and Gotham Comedy Live. She is also a regular performer at New York City's Comedy Cellar and New York Comedy Club and co-hosts the podcast Lady Journey.

The show begins at 8 p.m., with doors opening 30 minutes before showtime.

Participating businesses are asked to submit their proposed menu, pricing, ordering deadline, pickup details, and a high-quality photo for inclusion in upcoming Fête en Blanc promotional materials.

Organizers hope the initiative will highlight Pottstown's diverse dining scene while encouraging attendees to support local restaurants before the community event.
