The Save the Boyertown Pool campaign has announced a major milestone, reaching its fundraising goal to begin construction on the community pool.

Organizers say construction is expected to start sometime in August, with repairs scheduled to be completed in time to winterize the pool ahead of the colder months.

While celebrating the achievement, campaign leaders emphasized that additional fundraising efforts will continue to prepare the facility for a planned Summer 2027 reopening.

The organization expressed its gratitude to the community, thanking residents, donors, volunteers, and supporters whose contributions made the next phase of the project possible.

Although construction is set to begin, the Save the Boyertown Pool campaign says fundraising efforts will continue to help prepare the facility for a successful reopening and a memorable 2027 summer season.

Community Health & Dental Care (CHDC) is helping local students prepare for the new school year with its Annual Backpack Giveaway on Friday, Aug. 7, at the Boyertown Community Library.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon and will provide 120 free backpacks filled with essential school supplies for children ages 5 to 12, while supplies last.

In addition to the backpack giveaway, families can enjoy a variety of activities, including face painting, hydroponic gardening demonstrations by Trellis For Tomorrow, giveaways, and healthy nutrition information from CHDC's clinical staff.

Organizers encourage families to visit the event's Facebook page to express their interest in attending.

Hobart's Run is encouraging prospective homebuyers to explore expanded funding opportunities through its Homeowner Incentive Program (HIP), designed to support affordable homeownership in the Borough of Pottstown.

Thanks to a grant from the Pottstown Regional Community Foundation, the program has temporarily expanded both the loan amount and the eligible service area through Dec. 31, 2026.

The collaborative HIP loan program is intended to help qualified homebuyers purchase homes in Pottstown while promoting affordable housing and neighborhood investment.
