Belgium Eliminates United States from

World Cup with 4-1 Victory

The United States men's national team saw its 2026 FIFA World Cup run come to an end Monday night after a 4-1 loss to Belgium in the Round of 16 at Lumen Field in Seattle.

Belgium controlled much of the match, with Charles De Ketelaere scoring twice to lead the Red Devils into the quarterfinals. Hans Vanaken added a goal after capitalizing on a costly mistake by U.S. goalkeeper Matt Freese, while Romelu Lukaku scored in stoppage time to complete the scoring.

The Americans briefly pulled even in the first half when Malik Tillman converted a free kick that deflected off the Belgian wall, making the score 1-1. However, Belgium regained the lead less than a minute later with De Ketelaere's second goal and never looked back.

After being cleared to play following the overturning of his suspension, Folarin Balogun returned to the starting lineup but was unable to make the offensive impact he had shown earlier in the tournament.

The U.S. also faced adversity when Christian Pulisic exited the match with an injury after struggling to find his rhythm against Belgium's defense.

The defeat marks the fourth time in the last five FIFA World Cups that the United States has been eliminated in the Round of 16. The only exception was the 2018 tournament, when the Americans did not qualify.

Despite the disappointing finish, the U.S. enjoyed an encouraging tournament that included an unbeaten group stage and a Round of 32 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina before its World Cup journey came to an end.

Comedian Zach Rushing Brings "The Redneck Logic Tour" to SoulJoel's

Comedian Zach Rushing will return to SoulJoel's at SunnyBrook Ballroom in Pottstown on Saturday, July 11, as part of his "Redneck Logic Tour."

Known for his storytelling style and Southern-inspired comedy, Rushing has built a large following through his stand-up performances and social media presence. His tour features humorous takes on everyday life, family, and growing up in Mississippi.

The show begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. All seating is theater style, with several ticket options available.

Guests can enjoy food before or after the show at Gatsby's Pub, located inside the SunnyBrook complex, and a full bar will be available inside the showroom.
