Boyertown's Peppermint Stick Candy Store Earns Two National USA Today Rankings

A beloved Boyertown destination for sweets and nostalgia has received national recognition after earning two top rankings in USA Today's 2026 10 Best Readers' Choice Awards.
The Peppermint Stick Candy Store & Ice Cream Parlor was named the No. 2 candy store in America and the No. 8 old-fashioned ice cream parlor in America, according to the annual readers' poll.
The honors place the Boyertown business among the nation's top destinations for candy and ice cream, highlighting its unique blend of classic treats, vintage charm, and family-friendly atmosphere.
Known for its shelves stocked with nostalgic favorites, hard-to-find candies, homemade confections, and hand-scooped ice cream, the store has become a popular destination for visitors seeking a trip down memory lane.
USA Today's 10 Best panel praised the shop's old-fashioned appeal and wide selection of sweets, noting that it offers guests of all ages an opportunity to rediscover favorite treats from childhood while creating new memories.
Store representatives thanked customers for their continued support, crediting the community for helping make the national recognition possible.
