Comedian Bo Johnson Returns to

SoulJoel's for June 20 Performance

Stand-up comedian Bo Johnson will return to SoulJoel's in Pottstown for a special performance on Saturday, June 20.

The Seattle-based comic has built a national following through appearances on Comedy Central, Hulu, Netflix Is a Joke Radio, and the internationally recognized Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal. Johnson recently released his first full-length comedy special, Two Sailboats, in 2025 and continues to headline clubs, theaters, and comedy venues throughout the United States and Canada.

Known for his relatable storytelling and offbeat sense of humor, Johnson has also gained millions of views online through viral comedy clips and social media content.

The show will take place at SoulJoel's at SunnyBrook, with food and beverages available before, during, and after the performance.

United States Advances to World Cup Knockout Round with 2-0 Victory

The United States men's national soccer team secured a place in the FIFA World Cup knockout stage with a convincing 2-0 win over Australia on Friday in Seattle.

Playing without injured star Christian Pulisic, the Americans delivered another strong performance, earning their second consecutive victory of the tournament and advancing beyond the group stage after just two matches.

The U.S. opened the scoring in the 11th minute when pressure from forward Folarin Balogun led to an own goal by Australia's Cameron Burgess. The Americans extended their lead before halftime when 21-year-old Alex Freeman headed home his first World Cup goal following a set-piece opportunity.

Freeman, the son of former NFL standout Antonio Freeman, continued his impressive rise with a performance that highlighted the depth and youth of the American squad.

The victory marks the first time since 1930 that the United States has won its first two matches at a World Cup. Through two games, the Americans have scored six goals and demonstrated the depth of a roster capable of competing without one of its most recognizable stars.

Pulisic, sidelined by a calf injury, watched as teammates stepped up in his absence. Ricardo Pepi earned the start in place of the AC Milan forward, while Balogun once again played a key role in the attack.

With momentum building and a spot in the knockout round secured, the United States will now turn its attention to the next phase of the tournament as it seeks a deep run on home soil.

Pottstown Soap Box Derby Returns for

Full Day of Racing Competition

The Pottstown Soap Box Derby is set to return on Saturday, June 20, bringing a full day of racing and family-friendly excitement to Wilson Street.

Held as part of the International Soap Box Derby program, the event provides young racers with opportunities to develop leadership skills, sportsmanship, and technical knowledge through gravity-powered racing competition.

The International Soap Box Derby is a nonprofit youth organization focused on education and character development through fair competition, STEM-based learning, and community engagement activities. The annual Pottstown event continues a long-standing local tradition while offering participants a chance to showcase their racing skills.

Residents and visitors are invited to attend and cheer on competitors throughout the day as racers navigate the Wilson Street course.

Dueling Pianos Performance Planned

at The Alley on High Street

Music fans are invited to enjoy an evening of live entertainment as local performers Joe Marchetti and Tony DeCarolis bring a Dueling Pianos show to The Alley on High Street in Pottstown.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will feature the interactive, high-energy format that has made dueling piano performances a popular attraction. Audience members can expect a mix of classic favorites, sing-alongs, audience requests, and plenty of musical fun throughout the evening.

Organizers are encouraging residents and visitors to come out and enjoy a lively night of music and community entertainment in downtown Pottstown.
