Pottstown High School Class of 1971 Celebrates Reunion at Carousel at Pottstown

Members of the Pottstown High School Class of 1971 recently gathered at Carousel at Pottstown to celebrate their class reunion, bringing together classmates for an evening of memories, friendship, and nostalgia.
The event provided alumni with an opportunity to reconnect and reflect on shared experiences while enjoying one of the community's most recognizable venues. Carousel at Pottstown expressed appreciation for being chosen as the reunion site and for playing a role in the special occasion.
The gathering highlighted the lasting connections formed during high school and the enduring pride many alumni continue to have in their alma mater decades after graduation.
Young Chefs Invited to Learn
Pizza-Making with Chef Franco

Limerick Township Parks and Recreation is offering aspiring young cooks the opportunity to step into the kitchen and learn the art of pizza-making during a hands-on cooking experience led by Chef Franco.
Participants will be introduced to the kitchen environment while learning the fundamentals of creating fresh pizza dough from scratch. The class will guide attendees through each step of the process, including rolling, stretching, and topping their own pizzas before enjoying the finished product.
Designed to be both educational and fun, the program aims to build kitchen skills and confidence while giving participants a chance to create a personalized pizza tailored to their own tastes.
The interactive class combines culinary instruction with a rewarding hands-on experience, making it an ideal activity for young food enthusiasts.

Pottstown Soap Box Derby Celebrates
31st Year of Racing Tradition

The Pottstown Soap Box Derby is set to return for its 31st anniversary, bringing racers, families, and spectators together for a weekend of competition and community pride.
To accommodate derby activities, Wilson Street will be closed between State Street and Farmington Avenue from 7 a.m. on Friday, June 19, through 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.
The event begins with vehicle inspections on Thursday, June 18, at D&D Collision in Pottstown. Racers will have an opportunity to test their cars during trial runs and track preparations on Friday before competing on race day Saturday.
This year's derby will feature 37 participants across three racing divisions. Sixteen racers will compete in the Stock division, while 15 will race in Super Stock. An additional six competitors will participate in the Masters division.
Race Day activities are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, continuing a long-standing local tradition that has introduced generations of young racers to the sport.
Historic Vehicles & Running Engines Featured at Hoods Up Weekend at Boyertown Museum

The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles is inviting visitors to explore the inner workings of Pennsylvania's automotive history during its annual Hoods Up Weekend on Saturday, June 27.
From 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests will have the opportunity to view early and experimental engines displayed beneath open hoods on vehicles built in Pennsylvania. Museum docents will be stationed throughout the galleries and the historic carriage factory to answer questions and share insights about the collection.

A highlight of the event will take place on Saturday, when museum mechanics start several select vehicles, allowing visitors to hear the engines run and experience a piece of transportation history in action.
Adding to the festivities, members of the Susquehanna Valley Region and Old Time Touring Club Regions of the Horseless Carriage Club will be on-site with their historic automobiles. Visitors may also have the opportunity to enjoy rides in some of these vintage vehicles.
The event is included with regular museum admission.
