Fallen Heroes Car Show Nears as Customized GMC Sierra Raffle Truck Set for Reveal

Organizers of the NCPD Fallen Heroes Car Show are preparing to unveil the highly anticipated 2026 Fallen Heroes Edition GMC Sierra 1500 raffle truck in the coming days.

The custom-built vehicle is the result of collaboration between numerous local businesses that worked together to create a unique, one-of-a-kind truck for this year's event. Attendees will have the opportunity to see the completed build while enjoying a full day of activities, including a professionally judged car show, specialty trophies, raffles, and food vendors.

Participants are encouraged to register their vehicles in advance and purchase raffle tickets before they sell out. Raffle entrants will have the chance to win one of four prizes, highlighted by the customized 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 grand prize.

This year's event carries a special purpose, with proceeds helping support the family of fallen Pennsylvania State Trooper Corporal O'Connor. Organizers say the event provides an opportunity for the community to come together, honor a fallen hero, and make a meaningful impact on a deserving family.

Norchester Red Knights Launch Registration

for 2026 Fall Dek Hockey Season

The Norchester Red Knights have officially opened registration for their 2026 Fall Dek Hockey season, giving families an opportunity to secure spots early at a discounted rate. For a limited time, players can register at an early-bird price of $75.

League organizers are encouraging community members to spread the word by sharing registration information across social media and helping introduce new families to the program.

In addition to dek hockey, the Norchester Red Knights organization is offering several youth sports opportunities throughout the year. Registration remains available for fall flag football and cheerleading programs, while indoor golf opportunities continue during the summer season.

Families interested in participating can find registration details, schedules, and additional program information through the Norchester Red Knights youth sports website and official social media channels.

Limerick Township Opens Registration

for Beginner Youth Golf Camp

Limerick Township Parks and Recreation has opened registration for its Afternoon Beginner Golf Camp, offering young participants an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game in a welcoming and supportive setting.

Designed for children who are new to golf or looking to improve their basic skills, the camp will focus on essential techniques such as proper grip, stance, swing mechanics, putting, chipping, and golf etiquette. Instructors will guide participants through skill-building exercises and interactive activities aimed at developing confidence and enjoyment on the course.

The program also provides a fun outdoor summer experience where young golfers can learn, practice, and build friendships while gaining a strong foundation in the sport.

Registration is now available, with organizers noting that space is limited.

Pottstown Officials Urge Visitors to Help Protect Memorial Park Spray Park

The Borough of Pottstown Parks and Recreation Department is asking community members to help keep the Fountain of Youth Spray Park operating safely throughout the summer season.

Officials recently discovered that drains at the spray park had been intentionally blocked with clothing and towels to allow water to pool in certain areas. While the practice may seem harmless, it can cause significant damage to the park's pump system, potentially forcing a shutdown and resulting in costly repairs.

Unlike a swimming pool, the spray park is designed to continuously circulate water through its drainage system. When drains are obstructed, the equipment can malfunction, leaving the facility unavailable for weeks while repairs are completed.

Parks officials are encouraging adults to supervise children and help prevent drain blockages so the spray park can remain open and enjoyable for everyone during the hot summer months.
