Boyertown Area Fire & Rescue has taken a major step toward enhancing its emergency response capabilities with the purchase of a new Pierce Tower Ladder Truck.

Department officials announced that the order for the apparatus has been officially signed with Glick Fire Equipment Company, marking the beginning of a multi-year process that will culminate with the truck's anticipated delivery in 2030.

The new tower ladder will provide firefighters with advanced aerial capabilities for fire suppression, rescue operations and emergency response throughout the Boyertown area and surrounding communities.
