Mike Recine Brings Stand-Up

Comedy Back to SoulJoel’s

SoulJoel’s at SunnyBrook is welcoming comedian Mike Recine back to Pottstown for a night of stand-up comedy on Friday, June 5, at 8 p.m.

The show will take place at 50 Sunnybrook Road, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy free parking, a full bar and food service from Gatsby’s Pub, available before and after the performance.

  • 🎟️ Preferred Seating: $30 (closest 50 seats to the stage)

Recine has built a national following through appearances on Conan, Comedy Central, HBO’s Pause with Sam Jay, and Showtime’s Flatbush Misdemeanors. He is also a frequent guest on several popular comedy podcasts, including The Adam Friedland Show, Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast, Are You Garbage?, and The Tim Dillon Show.

Known for his sharp observations and distinctive comedic style, Recine has become a respected figure on the national stand-up circuit.

Pottstown Announces Street

Sweeping Parking Restrictions

Motorists in Pottstown are being advised of upcoming parking restrictions and road closures related to street sweeping operations and a downtown car show scheduled for early June.

Street Sweeping Parking Restrictions

To allow crews to complete street sweeping, no parking will be permitted on East High Street between Manatawny Street and Adams Street during the following times:

📅 Thursday, June 4
📅 Thursday, June 11
⏰ 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Vehicles parked in the affected area during these hours may be subject to enforcement actions.

Car Show Road Closures

Additional traffic restrictions will be in place for the downtown car show on Saturday, June 6.

⏰ Road closures and parking restrictions begin at 1 p.m.

Closed streets will include:

  • High Street from College Drive to Evans Street

  • Hanover Street from King Street to South Street

Officials warn that any vehicles remaining in the closure areas after 1 p.m. will be ticketed and towed.

Roadways are expected to reopen at 9 p.m. Following the event, any car show vehicles not legally parked after the streets reopen may also be ticketed and towed.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate parking locations during the closures.

Pottstown GoFourth! Launches 2026 Celebration with Kickoff Party

The Pottstown GoFourth! Festival Committee is inviting the community to kick off the countdown to its landmark 2026 celebration with a special Kickoff Party and Basket Raffle Fundraiser.

The event will help support the 2026 Pottstown GoFourth! Festival, which marks both the festival’s 10th season and the nation’s 250th birthday celebration.

Attendees can look forward to:

  • 🇺🇸 A large basket raffle featuring a variety of prizes

  • 👕 Exclusive 2026 GoFourth! merchandise

  • 🎶 Live music by Stephen Kurtz

  • 🎉 Community fellowship and festival-themed activities
