Carousel at Pottstown Improving

Accessibility with New Entryway

Exciting changes are underway at the Carousel at Pottstown as construction officially began today on a brand-new entrance designed to improve accessibility and make visits easier for guests and families.

Project organizers announced that the updated entryway will help create a more welcoming and convenient experience for visitors enjoying the historic carousel attraction.

The organization also thanked Trettin Brothers and their construction crew for beginning work on the project, which is expected to continue over the next several weeks.

Officials say the improvements are part of ongoing efforts to enhance the carousel experience and better serve the community while preserving one of Pottstown’s beloved attractions.

Colebrookdale Railroad Offering

Engineer for a Day Experience

Train enthusiasts and adventure seekers now have the opportunity to step into the cab of a real locomotive through the Engineer for a Day experience offered by the Colebrookdale Railroad.

The unique behind-the-scenes program allows participants to work alongside a qualified Colebrookdale engineer while learning how to operate and maintain a locomotive. Guests will experience firsthand what it’s like to control a train and ride the rails from the engineer’s seat.

Railroad officials say the experience is ideal for train lovers, thrill seekers, bucket-list adventurers and anyone searching for a memorable Father’s Day gift or one-of-a-kind excursion.

Because of the hands-on nature of the program, availability is limited and reservations are expected to fill quickly.

Additional information and reservations are available through the Colebrookdale Railroad website or by phone.
