The GTM bets that shouldn't have worked, and did

One grew revenue 50x after half his team quit over the strategy. One brought in 50K signups in a single day with no paid budget. One generated 100M+ views from a stunt that took 50 hours to conceive. One asked every prospect to demo the product themselves instead of demoing it for them.

None of them followed the safe playbook. They treated GTM like an experiment, moved before they had proof, and made bets most founders would never get approved.

HubSpot for Startups documented all 6 stories in the free Bold Bets Playbook. The risks they took, why it was risky, and what it returned.

Pottstown Business Takes on PGA Championship Opportunity

A Pottstown-based business led by local moms is gaining national attention after helping handle laundry operations during the PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club.

The company, known as Lessen The Loads, played a behind-the-scenes role during the major golf event by managing large-scale laundry needs connected to tournament operations. The opportunity highlighted the growing reach of the locally founded business and showcased how small businesses from the Pottstown area are making an impact on national sporting events.

Organizers and business leaders said the experience provided valuable exposure while demonstrating the company’s ability to handle high-demand operations during one of golf’s biggest tournaments.

The story also shines a spotlight on entrepreneurship and the role women-owned businesses continue to play in the regional economy.

DJ Koolie Kirk Bringing Friday Night

Party to Downtown Pottstown

Rivet: Canteen & Assembly is inviting the community to kick off the weekend with a free night of music, drinks and dancing in downtown Pottstown.

On Friday, May 29, DJ Koolie Kirk will provide nonstop music from 7 to 11 p.m. during a 21-and-over event at Rivet: Canteen & Assembly, located at 238 E. High Street.

There is no cover charge for the event, and guests can enjoy specialty cocktails, local craft brews and food from Rivet’s kitchen throughout the evening.

Organizers say the event is designed to offer a fun and energetic nightlife experience for the local community heading into the weekend.

Boyertown Education Foundation Opens
Golf Tournament Registration

Golfers and community supporters are invited to tee off for a good cause during the 11th Annual Foundation for Boyertown Education Golf Tournament this fall.

The fundraiser will take place on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Twin Ponds Golf Course, with proceeds supporting educational opportunities for students throughout the Boyertown Area School District.

Organizers announced that Early Bird registration is now open, with participants able to save $50 on sponsorships and foursomes by registering before September 1.

The Foundation says the annual event helps fund programs and initiatives that provide additional learning opportunities and resources for local students. Officials are encouraging teams and sponsors to register early as spots are expected to fill quickly.
