Pottstown Memorial Day Parade

Set for Monday Morning

The annual Pottstown Memorial Day Parade is set to return on Monday with a scheduled start time of 10 a.m., bringing the community together to honor the men and women who gave their lives in military service to the nation.

The parade will feature veterans organizations, marching groups, first responders, community organizations and local participants traveling through Pottstown as part of the longstanding Memorial Day tradition.

Organizers say the event serves as both a celebration of patriotism and a solemn opportunity for residents to remember and recognize the sacrifices made by fallen service members.

Community members are encouraged to attend and line the parade route in support of veterans and military families during the holiday observance.

Boyertown Street Fair Returns June 6

The Berks-Mont Business Association (BMBA) is thanking local sponsors and community partners for helping make the upcoming Philadelphia Avenue Street Fair possible in downtown Boyertown.

Organizers say sponsor support plays a major role in bringing the community together for a day filled with shopping, food, entertainment and local engagement. The annual street fair is expected to feature local vendors, live music, food stands and family-friendly activities throughout downtown.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. along Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown.

BMBA officials are encouraging residents to attend the fair, support local businesses and celebrate the strong sense of community that continues to drive events like the annual street festival.

Tower Health Reports Operating

Loss for Fiscal 2026

Tower Health reported a $3.6 million operating loss during the first nine months of fiscal year 2026, according to newly released financial information.

Despite the loss, health system officials noted that the organization continues working to improve its long-term financial position through operational changes, patient care investments and strategic growth initiatives.

The report reflects ongoing financial pressures facing many healthcare systems nationwide, including rising labor costs, inflation, reimbursement challenges and increased demand for healthcare services.

Tower Health, which operates several hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout southeastern Pennsylvania, has spent recent years restructuring operations and focusing on financial stabilization following significant losses earlier in the decade.

Officials say the organization remains committed to serving patients and communities across the region while continuing efforts to strengthen financial performance.
