Raymond the Amish Comic Returns

tonight to SoulJoel’s in Pottstown

Comedian Raymond the Amish Comic is set to return to SoulJoel’s at SunnyBrook for a night of stand-up comedy on Friday, May 22, 2026, in Pottstown.

The show will take place at 50 Sunnybrook Road, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the performance beginning at 7 p.m. Guests can enjoy free parking, a full bar and food available at Gatsby’s Pub before or after the event.

Tickets are priced at:

  • $20 General Admission

  • $30 Preferred Seating (closest 75 seats to the stage)

Raymond has spent more than three decades performing stand-up comedy and has built a loyal following through appearances on radio, television and comedy platforms including Comedy Central, MTV, SiriusXM and America’s Got Talent. His comedy style blends storytelling, everyday observations and adult humor covering topics ranging from family life and travel to pop culture and modern frustrations.

Organizers note the performance contains adult language and is intended for mature audiences.

Eastbound Route 724 Closure

Drivers in North Coventry Township should prepare for a long-term weekday traffic detour beginning later this month due to road work along Route 724 (Schuylkill Road).

From Monday, May 25 through Monday, November 2, eastbound Route 724 will be closed on weekdays between Hanover Street and Keim Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

During the closure, motorists traveling eastbound will be detoured using:

  • Hanover Street

  • U.S. 422 (Benjamin Franklin Highway)

  • Keim Street

Officials are encouraging drivers to allow extra travel time and use caution while traveling through the area during construction hours.

Free Family Tennis Event Coming to Pottstown

Families throughout the Pottstown area are invited to celebrate USTA National Tennis Month during a free community tennis event hosted by Greater Pottstown Tennis & Learning on May 30.

The family-friendly event will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Maple Street Park Tennis Courts, located at 1430 Maple Street in Pottstown. A rain date is scheduled for May 31.

Organizers say the event is designed for players of all ages and skill levels — from beginners to experienced tennis players — with activities focused on fun, teamwork and learning the game in a relaxed environment.

Planned activities include:

  • Family doubles games

  • Team rally challenges

  • Games for younger players

  • Beginner-friendly “red ball” tennis games

  • Coaching and instruction throughout the event

Participants are encouraged to bring a tennis racquet if they have one, though equipment will also be available. Snacks, refreshments, prizes and giveaways will be provided.

Registration is required for the free event.

Pottstown Spray Park

Reopens for Summer Season

The Fountain of Youth Spray Park in Memorial Park is officially reopening for the summer season beginning Friday, May 22.

Located on the Manatawny Street side of Memorial Park, the popular spray park will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout the season, offering families and children a fun way to cool off during the warmer months.

The Borough of Pottstown Parks and Recreation Department is reminding visitors to follow all posted rules and be respectful of other guests while enjoying the facility.

Officials say the spray park remains one of the community’s favorite summertime attractions for outdoor recreation and family fun.
