Men, You've Been Misinformed

Men's skin is about 25% thicker than women's, but thicker skin doesn't mean better aging. It means delayed collapse. For years, your skin looks resilient. Then collagen declines, and when it does, it drops hard: deeper wrinkles, heavier under-eye bags, more dark spots showing up all at once.

Most men were never taught to get ahead of this. Women were. And by the time the signs show up, you're playing catch-up.

Particle Face Cream was built precisely for this. One 6-in-1 formula engineered for men's skin — reduces eye bags, dark spots, and wrinkles, restores firmness, hydrates deeply, and revives dull tone. No complicated routine. Over 1,000,000 men already use it. Try it risk-free with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Carousel Hosts $5 Fill-a-Bag

Sale This Wednesday

The Carousel at Pottstown is wrapping up its successful Books & Barks event with a special clearance sale this week.

Following a strong turnout that included book sales, carousel rides and pet adoption interest, organizers are inviting the community back on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. for a “fill a bag or box” sale. Attendees can take home remaining items—including books, puzzles and games—for just $5 per bag or box.

The event will take place at 30 W. King Street, offering one last opportunity to shop while supporting the organization’s efforts.

Organizers also expressed appreciation for the volunteers and community members who contributed to the event’s success.

You're Not Bad With Money.

You're Just Doing It Alone

That's a quote from a guy named Mikey Caloca, and it's probably the truest sentence we've read about personal finance in a while.

Think about it. We'll talk about our marriages, our health, even our therapists — but tell a friend you're behind on credit cards and watch the room go quiet. So we deal with it alone. We Google in private. We promise ourselves we'll fix it next month. Again.

Mikey runs a community called Mikey's Money House, and the whole thing is basically built around fixing that one problem: nobody to talk to about it. Members hop on multiple live classes a week - credit, debt, side hustles, investing - and the topics rotate based on what people are actually dealing with. He'll even pull up a member's Credit Karma on a call and break it down with the group, live.

If "figure it out alone" hasn't worked yet, that might be the actual problem.

Mother’s Day Brunch Returns

to SunnyBrook Ballroom

SoulJoel’s at SunnyBrook has announced the return of its popular Mother’s Day Brunch at the historic SunnyBrook Ballroom, offering families a festive way to celebrate the holiday.

The event will feature two seating options and a full brunch spread curated by Executive Chef Scott Reddy. The menu includes a variety of breakfast and lunch favorites such as French toast with strawberry compote, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon and sausage, along with carved ham, salmon with pesto sauce and chicken with Tuscan cream sauce. Guests can also enjoy pastries, salads, vegetables and assorted desserts, as well as beverages including coffee, tea, juice and soda.

Organizers say the annual brunch continues to be a cherished tradition, bringing families together in a classic setting for a special holiday experience.

Boyertown Wine Walk Returns May 8

The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles (BMBA) Wine Walk is set to return on May 8, 2026, offering a unique evening that combines local shopping, wine tastings and community support.

The event invites attendees to sip and stroll through Boyertown’s local businesses, enjoying a variety of wines while exploring the town. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit The State Theater, a historic venue known for preserving local culture and providing entertainment in the community.

Organizers say the Wine Walk is more than just a night out—it’s an opportunity to support local businesses and invest in a valued community landmark.

Pottstown Students Shine in Writing Contest

Students across the Pottstown School District are being recognized for their creativity in the annual McDonald’s Writing Contest, centered around the imaginative theme of what might be hidden behind a mysterious door.

From fantasy worlds and secret pathways to imaginative adventures, students in kindergarten through eighth grade showcased their writing skills through vivid storytelling and original ideas.

The contest continues to be supported by longtime sponsors, whose contributions help promote literacy and creativity throughout the district. This year’s winning entries will be published in a professionally produced book, giving young writers the opportunity to see their work in print.
