LIHEAP Deadline Extended

for Heating Assistance

State officials are encouraging residents to take advantage of extended assistance for heating costs, as the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) deadline has been pushed back.

The application period for the 2025–2026 LIHEAP season has been extended to May 8, 2026, giving eligible households additional time to apply for support.

The program offers cash and crisis grants ranging from $200 to $1,000, depending on household size, income and fuel type. These grants are one-time payments sent directly to utility providers to help offset heating bills and do not need to be repaid.

Residents experiencing difficulty paying heating costs are encouraged to apply before the new deadline, with assistance available through local offices.

Have an Amazing Weekend! See you Monday!
