Hundreds Attend Althouse Arboretum
Easter Event

The Althouse Arboretum welcomed a large turnout for its recent Family Forest Easter Egg Hunt, with nearly 350 community members braving cold temperatures to attend the event.

Organizers credited the success of the event to strong community support, including sponsorship from Family Community Business of Boyertown and The Collective, whose contributions helped make the day possible.
The arboretum also recognized the efforts of 31 student volunteers, who dedicated their time to assist with the event and ensure a positive experience for attendees.
Ringing Rocks Transforms into
Wrestling Venue for Special Event

The Ringing Rocks Roller Rink recently transformed into a wrestling venue for a special event hosted in partnership with Workers Pro Wrestling.

The rink was reimagined as a live entertainment space, drawing a crowd for what organizers described as an energetic and successful first “fight night.” Attendees packed the venue to experience the action, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere throughout the evening.
Organizers expressed appreciation for the strong turnout and community support, noting plans to host another wrestling event in May.
Pottstown Schools Surprise Students
with Home Award Visits

The Pottstown School District took a unique approach to celebrating student achievement by bringing recognition directly to students’ homes as part of its I’MPACT Awards for the third marking period.
Led by school staff, the initiative turned front porches and living rooms into celebration spaces, surprising students with awards, gifts and school spirit in a memorable, personal way.
The awards recognize students for qualities such as perseverance, goal achievement and leadership, highlighting those who have demonstrated determination and growth throughout the marking period.
This year’s honorees included:
Kindergarten: Athena Kline
1st Grade: Louis Kraft
2nd Grade: Addilyn Nickle
3rd Grade: Kay’leise Stiles
4th Grade: Allison Guardado Velasquez
District officials said the visits created meaningful moments for students and families, reinforcing that success in school goes beyond academics and includes effort, attitude and personal growth.
Steel River Playhouse Announces
“Damn Yankees!” Teen Production

Steel River Playhouse is inviting teens to take the stage this summer with its upcoming Teen Intensive production of “Damn Yankees!”
Open to participants ages 13 to 18, the program offers young performers the opportunity to be part of a high-energy musical centered around a baseball fan who makes a life-changing deal in pursuit of success.
Auditions will be held on April 30 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and May 2 from 2 to 6 p.m., with callbacks scheduled for May 3.
Those auditioning are asked to prepare a memorized monologue along with 32 bars of a Golden Age musical selection.
Organizers say the summer intensive is designed to give teens hands-on experience in performance, while building confidence and stage skills.
