Pottstown Man Pleads No Contest in

Multi-County Gun Trafficking Case

Lady Justice background.

Michael Christophe Needling of Pottstown has pleaded no contest to charges related to his alleged role in a multi-county gun trafficking ring involving illegal firearm transfers and modified weapons. The plea acknowledges the strength of the evidence without admitting guilt. The investigation, which began after a stabbing incident, exposed a complex network using 3-D printing and conversion devices to manufacture and distribute untraceable firearms. Sentencing is pending, with a cap of 37 years under a limited agreement.

A White-Hot Evening: Pottstown’s Fête en Blanc Returns for Its Eighth Year

As the summer sun sets on another season, the Borough of Pottstown prepares to light up one last evening in style. On Friday, September 12, 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m., residents and visitors will gather at Smiths Plaza for the eighth annual Fête en Blanc, a now-beloved tradition that combines elegance, community spirit, and celebration under the stars.

The concept is simple, yet striking: guests arrive dressed in white, bringing their own food, beverages, and creative energy to personalize their tablescapes. In return, organizers provide the essentials—tables, chairs, and white linens—and set the stage for a night of connection and charm in the heart of the borough.

With live music provided by High Street Music Company, and attendance expected to top 750 people, the evening promises both festivity and intimacy. Attendees are encouraged to order takeout from local restaurants, turning the evening into a culinary showcase for downtown Pottstown as well.

Hosted by Pottstown Area Economic Development, Fête en Blanc has grown over the past eight years from a niche gathering to a signature social event, drawing residents from across the region. More than just a dinner party, the evening serves as a symbolic send-off to summer—and a visible reminder of the vitality that pulses through Pottstown’s historic streets.

Tickets are $15 per person, and the event is open to the public.
