Crafting Meets Community at Upcoming Hammer & Stain Pottstown Workshop

On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, Hammer & Stain in Pottstown will host a hands-on creative workshop, inviting adults to craft personalized home décor pieces. The event, scheduled for 6 p.m., offers participants the opportunity to design and customize one of several curated projects, with a wide selection of stains and paints available to bring each piece to life.
Participants can select from a variety of formats including small and large home shutters, centerpiece boxes, decorative rounds, and framed signs in various sizes. Each item ranges from compact 12x12-inch squares to more prominent 48-inch planks, catering to both minimal and statement interior aesthetics.
The registration fee begins at $37 and covers one adult reservation. To maintain the intimate and interactive nature of the event, each attendee must be individually registered and committed to creating their own project. Space is limited, and registration will close approximately two to three days before the event date.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own beverages and snacks, fostering a relaxed, social atmosphere while they work. Attendees will personalize their selections through a three-step registration process: choosing a design, entering any required personalization for stencil preparation, and completing the checkout process.
While minor text edits within existing templates are generally accommodated at no extra charge, more extensive alterations or custom design requests must be submitted at least a week in advance. Approved customizations will incur a $25 design fee.
Hammer & Stain's workshop model blends guided creativity with individual expression, offering a distinctive alternative to traditional night-out options in the region
Comedian Mark Viera to Make SoulJoel’s
Debut With Back-to-Back Shows

Comedian Mark Viera, known for his sharp wit and charismatic storytelling, will make his long-anticipated debut at SoulJoel’s in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, with two live performances scheduled for Friday, September 12, 2025. The shows will take place at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., offering both general admission and VIP seating options.
Tickets are priced at $30 for general seating and $50 for VIP access, the latter securing a spot among the 50 closest seats to the stage and including an exclusive meet-and-greet opportunity following the show. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the early performance and at 8:45 p.m. for the late show.
Viera, a Bronx native, has built a distinguished career through his energetic performances and culturally rich humor. He gained widespread recognition with his Showtime special Tales of a Nuyorican, a comedic tribute to his upbringing and life experiences. His credits include national television appearances on 30 Rock, ComicView, and Stand Up Revolution, along with sold-out comedy tours and headline performances at top venues across the country.
In addition to his stand-up work, Viera has contributed to philanthropic initiatives, performing for military personnel and organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He has also been featured on family-friendly specials and collaborated with notable figures like George Lopez and Gabriel Iglesias.
Viera’s appearance at SoulJoel’s marks a notable addition to the club’s growing lineup, reflecting its commitment to bringing nationally acclaimed talent to the local stage.
Sly Fox Brewery to Host Annual Can Jam Tournament with Beer, Bands,
and Bragging Rights

Sly Fox Brewery in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, will once again set the stage for its lively Can Jam tournament on Saturday, September 27, 2025—an event that blends competitive disc play with craft beer and live music, drawing fans from across the region.
This year’s registration is priced at $50 per two-person team, each of which will receive a package that includes two food tickets, four beer tickets, and a pair of exclusive Sly Fox koozies. More than just a friendly match, the stakes include a tongue-in-cheek yet enticing grand prize: the championship team will be awarded their combined weight in Sly Fox beer, alongside the perennial reward of community-wide bragging rights.
Pre-registration is essential, as space is limited and spots tend to fill quickly. Organizers emphasize the importance of early sign-up to secure a place in what has become one of the brewery’s most anticipated events of the year.
For the first time in its history, Can Jam will offer official 2025 event t-shirts, available exclusively through pre-order at the time of registration. The commemorative apparel will not be sold on-site, making early purchase the only opportunity to claim this limited-edition gear.
Complementing the day’s athletic festivities is a carefully curated musical lineup. The afternoon will kick off with Drew & the Blue, known for their energetic blend of surf, garage, and spooky rock, performing from 2:30 to 4 p.m. As the sun sets, the eight-piece Bill Koss Combo will take over the stage, delivering a spirited performance from 6 to 9 p.m., rich with timeless sound and infectious energy.
Attendees can look forward to an array of food options from the Tastin’ Room kitchen and local food trucks, alongside a robust selection of Sly Fox beers. From classic lagers and hop-forward IPAs to rotating seasonal selections, there will be something on tap for every palate.
With its unique mix of spirited competition, live entertainment, and craft beer culture, Can Jam continues to be a hallmark celebration for the Pottstown community and beyond.
