Iron Gate Biergarten Welcomes Young Professionals and Celebrates National

Beer Lovers Day

The Iron Gate Biergarten in Pottstown is gearing up for a festive week of gatherings, live music, and community events that started September 3 through September 7, 2025.

The week opens on Thursday with a networking evening for the TriCounty Young Professionals, offering attendees the chance to connect over craft brews in a lively outdoor setting.

Saturday night will feature a performance by Mr. Mody from 7 to 10 p.m., while Sunday’s “Sunday Funday” program will showcase Stephen T. Kurtz from 5 to 8 p.m. Both evenings promise to bring live entertainment to the heart of the Biergarten’s vibrant atmosphere.

On Sunday, the venue will also mark National Beer Lovers Day with an all-day celebration. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of cold beers on tap, along with specialty cocktails and seltzers.

Pottstown Residents Invited to Join

Adopt-a-Trashcan Program

Hobart’s Run is encouraging residents and businesses across Pottstown to take part in its Adopt-a-Trashcan program, an initiative aimed at reducing litter and fostering neighborhood pride.

The program offers free, durable trashcans—branded with the Hobart’s Run logo—to residents throughout the borough. Each bin is delivered directly to the adopter’s home or business and includes a weight to keep it secure. Participants are responsible for monitoring their can, replacing liners, and placing bagged trash out for weekly collection. Organizers say the presence of the bins has already led to noticeable declines in litter on local streets.

The opportunity is not limited to Hobart’s Run’s focus area. Any Pottstown resident can request a bin, and a map is available to help households determine whether their block might benefit from adoption.

Local businesses, civic groups, and private citizens are also invited to sponsor bins, which cost the organization about $200 each. Sponsors receive recognition on the bins themselves and through Hobart’s Run’s social media platforms. Discounts are available for sponsoring multiple cans.

Through the program, Hobart’s Run hopes to expand its network of “litter-busting bins,” making Pottstown’s streets cleaner and more welcoming for all.
