Cliff Cash, a North Carolina native, began his stand-up career in Wilmington and quickly emerged as a compelling voice in American comedy. He has been recognized with several accolades, including victories at regional festivals and finalist placements in major national competitions such as Comedy Central’s Up Next and StandUp NBC.
Cash has performed at distinguished venues including The Comedy Store in Los Angeles and the Comedy Cellar in New York City. He has headlined multiple festivals, and his work has been broadcast on platforms such as SiriusXM, Rawdog Comedy, and Laughs TV. His debut comedy album, Halfway There, released in 2021, reached the top of the iTunes comedy chart during its first week.
Offstage, Cash is an avid traveler and environmental enthusiast, currently undertaking a personal quest to visit every national park in the United States. He has already explored 45 out of the country’s 62 national parks, traveling in a self-converted sprinter van.
Known for weaving personal experience with sharp social commentary, Cash’s material often explores the complexities of his upbringing in a deeply conservative and religious environment. His comedy is noted for addressing subjects such as race, identity, war, and personal loss, aiming to balance humor with insight and emotional resonance.
Pottstown’s Carousel Calls for Book Donations to Support Literacy and Events

As the summer season draws to a close, a beloved Pottstown landmark is turning the page with a community initiative aimed at fostering literacy and engagement. The Carousel at Pottstown has announced a book donation drive, inviting residents to donate new or gently used books in support of upcoming local events.
Running through October 18, the drive is part of a larger effort to collect materials for the Books & Bark event scheduled for October 25. Donations will also help fund future programming and community gatherings hosted by the Carousel, a longstanding hub of local activity and outreach.
Book drop-offs are welcomed every Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Carousel’s location at 30 West King Street. For those unable to deliver their contributions in person, the organizers are offering to arrange pickups, ensuring broad accessibility to the initiative.
Those who donate during the event will be rewarded in a uniquely heartwarming way—via the "Puppy Kissing Booth" at the Books & Bark celebration. In keeping with the community-focused spirit of the event, the drive connects the love of books with the joy of animal companionship.
Organizers expressed gratitude for the generous outpouring of support received thus far, emphasizing the vital role donations play in making the Carousel’s programming possible.
TriCounty Area Chamber Honors Local Women Leaders at REACH Conference

The TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce has unveiled the recipients of its 5th Annual REACH Conference Awards, honoring women and organizations whose work exemplifies leadership, community engagement, and professional empowerment.
The awards, which will be presented during the REACH Conference on Wednesday, September 24th, at RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve, recognize individuals and groups making a significant impact across the region. The event, scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., serves as both a networking forum and a celebration of women’s contributions in business and community development.
Among this year’s honorees is Laura McGinty of Helping Hands Community Network, who will receive the Woman of Influence and Empowerment Award. The Business of Influence and Empowerment Award will be presented to the TriCounty Community Network, while Ashley Kolpak, also of TriCounty Community Network, has been named recipient of the Outstanding Young Professional Award.
These recognitions highlight the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to fostering female leadership and connecting professionals across industries. The REACH Conference, now in its fifth year, continues to serve as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and inspiration among women from the TriCounty area and beyond.
Tickets for the event are priced at $150 per person, and attendees are encouraged to bring colleagues and friends to participate in a day of learning, recognition, and connection.
Pottstown YMCA and Partners Launch
No-Cost Swim Safety Program
In an effort to promote water safety and equitable access to essential life skills, the Pottstown YMCA, in collaboration with the YMCA of the USA (YUSA), is launching a free swim lesson program this fall for children ages 3 to 12. The initiative spans five regional branches: Boyertown YMCA, Haverford Area YMCA, Pottstown YMCA, Spring Valley YMCA, and West Philadelphia YMCA.
Set to begin the week of September 8 and conclude by October 20, 2025, the program is open to the public and does not require YMCA membership. It represents a meaningful step toward addressing water safety education—especially in communities where access to swim instruction may be limited by cost or availability.
Organizers emphasize that space is limited and early registration is strongly encouraged. Interested families can register online through the YMCA’s secure portal.
This community-focused initiative reflects the YMCA’s broader mission to provide inclusive, health-oriented programming for youth and families. With drowning remaining a leading cause of accidental death in children, the program seeks not only to teach swimming but also to instill lifelong skills that can save lives.
