An Evening Beyond the Veil:
Spirit Gathering Comes to SoulJoel’s

On the evening of August 27, SoulJoel’s at the Melody Room will host a distinctive event blending mysticism, emotional connection, and community. Titled A Night with Spirit, the gathering invites guests to explore messages from beyond the physical realm through the guidance of Nicole, a self-described clairvoyant, and her team of spiritual interpreters.
Doors to the venue will open at 6:30 p.m., with the program set to commence at 7 p.m. Tickets are priced at $30 and are available exclusively through advance purchase, with all sales final and non-refundable.
Set against the backdrop of Gatsby’s Pub—located within the same complex—attendees are encouraged to dine and drink before or after the event, while a full-service bar will be operational during the proceedings. Outside food and beverages are prohibited.
Billed as an immersive group experience, the evening centers on spiritual readings intended to deliver personal messages, emotional insight, and perceived guidance from loved ones no longer living. Nicole, who claims to possess innate clairvoyant abilities, has practiced professionally since 2010 and has shared her work nationwide. This event marks a return to her home state, offering local participants a chance to engage with what she describes as healing messages from the spiritual world.
The format of the evening aims to combine entertainment with a sense of emotional resonance, as participants receive messages in a shared setting designed to foster collective understanding and individual revelation. Promising joy, laughter, and the unexpected, A Night with Spirit intends to bridge the ordinary with the extraordinary, if only for a single evening.
Keystone Villa Gears Up for
Annual Car and Bike Showcase

Keystone Villa at Douglassville is set to host its third annual Community Day and Car and Bike Show, a celebration that continues to draw families and enthusiasts from across the region. Scheduled for Saturday, September 13, the event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its dual locations on Ben Franklin Highway East, and will take place rain or shine.
The gathering serves as both a showcase and a social gathering, offering attendees a glimpse into automotive history through a curated exhibition of antique, classic, and customized vehicles. Alongside the main attraction, visitors can explore a variety of attractions designed to engage guests of all ages.
Entertainment and shopping will be abundant, with vendors and crafters presenting goods, live music providing a festive backdrop, and an assortment of activities, including bingo, games for children, and a petting zoo. Food trucks will be stationed throughout the venue, offering refreshments for purchase.
In keeping with the spirit of community support, proceeds from the day’s activities will go toward aiding local fire and police departments, reinforcing the event’s role not only as entertainment but as a vehicle for civic engagement.
Participation remains accessible, with vendor spaces and vehicle registration available for modest fees—$20 for vendors and car entries, and $10 for motorcycles. Interested parties are encouraged to reach out for further details.

Pottstown Man Accused of Secretly
Recording Child Witnesses in Court

A Pottstown man is facing criminal charges after authorities say he made an unauthorized audio recording of two children testifying during a court hearing in a sexual assault case.
Dontaue Jackson, 41, has been charged with unlawful use of an audio or video device in a courtroom and possession of an instrument of crime, following an investigation led by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
The investigation was launched on July 17, after a Montgomery County prosecutor discovered a prison phone call involving Jackson and a person facing ongoing sexual assault charges. Authorities say the conversation raised concerns about the possibility of confidential court proceedings being recorded and shared.
Subsequent inquiries traced the phone number involved in the call to Jackson. Surveillance footage from the courthouse confirmed that he was present during a hearing where the two children delivered their testimony.
Detectives later executed a search warrant on Jackson’s cellphone on August 12, uncovering a 52-minute voice memo that captured the children’s statements. The contents of the recording, according to prosecutors, included sensitive and personal testimony related to the pending sexual assault case.
Jackson was arraigned on August 19. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on August 27.
The case has raised concerns over courtroom security and the protection of vulnerable witnesses, particularly in proceedings involving minors.
