Giovanni's 724 Restaurant Rallies Community for Hurricane Helene Relief Effort

Giovanni's 724 Italian Restaurant is stepping up to help those impacted by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. Teaming up with Limerick Township and Stillwater, the restaurant will be sending their trailer loaded with much-needed supplies to the affected area. The trip is scheduled for tomorrow at 3 p.m., with the trailer already packed with pallets of water.

Giovanni's is calling on the local community to contribute additional supplies such as first-aid kits, flashlights, batteries, chainsaw bar oil, and other emergency essentials. Anyone willing to help can drop off donations at the restaurant tonight or tomorrow before 2 p.m. The team will make sure to pack as much as possible into the trailer to maximize their relief efforts.

The restaurant sees this as a chance for the Pottstown community to unite and show support for those in need. Giovanni's expresses deep gratitude for any contributions, sending their heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the people of North Carolina during this challenging time.

🎃 Halloween Fun for Families: Games and Prizes at Pottstown FARM, October 26th

Looking for a fun Halloween activity with the kids? Skip the parade and head to the Pottstown FARM on October 26th for a special Halloween celebration in honor of National Pumpkin Day! From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the FARM will be transformed into a festive playground with games, prizes, treats, and plenty of family-friendly activities. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy some seasonal fun and create lasting memories.

In addition to the Halloween event, the FARM will also be holding its regular market on Saturday, October 12th. Make sure to mark your calendars and bring the whole family for a day of local shopping and excitement!

 🚨 Transportation Alert 🚨: Traffic Delays Expected for Pottstown Buses 68 and 73

The Pottstown School District has announced that students riding buses 68 and 73 on October 9th may experience afternoon delays due to traffic caused by a political rally in Reading. Students from New Story and Kids Peace are also expected to be affected.

Riotmakers vs. Thrash Pandas in Pottstown

The Riotmakers will take on the Thrash Pandas in a Halloween-themed roller derby bout you won't want to miss. The event kicks off with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., and the first whistle blowing at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available for presale at 2 for $25, or you can catch the action live on Twitch if you can't make it in person.

🚒 Sanatoga Fire Company Hosts

Fall Open House October 12th

The Sanatoga Fire Company is hosting its annual Fall Open House on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at their station on 2222 E. High St. in Pottstown. This family-friendly event will feature fire truck rides, live fire and rescue demonstrations, raffle baskets, free food, and much more.

It’s a great opportunity to meet local firefighters, learn about fire safety, and enjoy an afternoon of exciting activities. Don't miss this chance to experience the firehouse in action and support the Sanatoga Fire Company.
