SoulJoel's in Pottstown has a packed schedule this week, offering a range of entertainment. Tuesday, August 13, features an Open Mic night and Line Dancing with DJ Dan. On Wednesday, August 14, enjoy a "Sex and the City" themed Murder Mystery Dinner.

Thursday, August 15, brings comedian Missy Hall to the stage. Friday, August 16, starts with the Farmer's Market and continues with a special Line Dancing event featuring 92.5 XTU’s Jeff Kurkjian, followed by comedian Andy Fiori.

The week wraps up on Saturday, August 17, with the White Party dance event featuring DJ Jamie Callen, and comedian Tina Friml closing out the weekend.

Union's Leagues Cup Success Boosts Confidence for MLS Push

The Philadelphia Union are bouncing back, thanks to the return of star goalkeeper Andre Blake. During Blake's absence due to knee surgery, the team struggled, going winless in 10 games and conceding 20 goals in eight. However, since his return, the Union have gone 4-0-1, allowing just two goals and recording three clean sheets.

Blake's impact has been crucial, revitalizing the team as they push through the Leagues Cup. The Union now face the challenge of carrying this momentum into the MLS season, where they currently sit in 10th place. With five of their last nine games on the road against playoff contenders, the Union aim to climb the standings when league play resumes on August 24. Their recent strong performances, including key wins in the Leagues Cup, have bolstered the team's confidence as they prepare for the crucial stretch ahead.

Key Phillies Players Struggle, Threatening Playoff Hopes

The Philadelphia Phillies have stumbled out of the gate in the second half of the season, going 7-15 since the All-Star Break. Despite holding a 7.5-game lead in the NL East, their playoff position is at risk as key players struggle.

José Alvarado's ERA has surged to 7.27 in 10 appearances post-break, while Bryson Stott's batting average has dropped to .222. Cristopher Sánchez has struggled on the road, and Brandon Marsh's hitting has faltered, batting just .149. Rookie Orion Kerkering has also hit a slump, with a 7.00 ERA in recent outings.

These players need to improve as the Phillies return home to keep their playoff hopes alive.
