Over 30 Drivers Face Costly Repairs Due to Contaminated Fuel at Wawa
A Wawa in Richboro, Bucks County, sold contaminated fuel between July 17 and 18, causing significant mechanical issues for over 30 customers, with repair costs exceeding $4,000 each. Greg Millevoi of Millevoi Brothers Automotive noted the problem when multiple customers reported issues after fueling at the Wawa. Repairs include replacing fuel pumps, filters, and other components.
Wawa acknowledged the issue, attributing it to a fuel equipment malfunction. They assured that steps have been taken to correct it and that an investigation is ongoing. Affected customers are encouraged to visit Wawa's fuel guarantee page to submit claims.
West Pottsgrove Gears Up for 2nd Annual National Night Out Event

West Pottsgrove Township and the West Pottsgrove Township Police Department are excited to announce the 2nd annual National Night Out event, set to take place on August 6, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Township Municipal Complex, located at 980 Grosstown Road, Stowe, PA 19464.
National Night Out is a community-building event aimed at fostering strong police-community partnerships and enhancing neighborhood camaraderie to create safer, more caring places to live and work. This year's event promises to be a fun-filled evening for residents of all ages.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities and attractions, including multiple moon bounces, fire trucks, EMS demonstrations, and more. There will be food, Kona Ice, music, and plenty of activities for the kids, making it an evening of entertainment and community engagement. Members of the local Police, Fire, and EMS Departments will be present to interact with the community and provide demonstrations.
Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars and join in the festivities. This event is open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend. Additional details will be provided as the event date approaches.
Don’t Miss Out: Lazy River and Beer Garden Returns to Royersford
The Royersford Fire Department is thrilled to announce the return of its much-anticipated Lazy River and Beer Garden event. Scheduled for Saturday, August 10, 2024, this community gathering promises a day filled with fun, relaxation, and support for a great cause. The event will take place from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Riverfront Park in Royersford, PA. Limited slots and times are available, so now is the time to secure your tickets!
Start your day by floating down the river with friends and family. After the float, the festivities will continue at the Friendship Ambulance Station, located at 269 Green St. in Royersford, PA. The beer garden event will feature a variety of activities, including a selection of beer and food, live music, games, and a photo booth. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
This event is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to join. It’s a perfect way to spend a summer day while supporting the Royersford Fire Department. Daniel Boone Alumnus Chris Guiliano Wins Olympic Gold in Relay
Daniel Boone High School graduate Chris Guiliano achieved a significant milestone by winning his first Olympic gold medal as part of the United States' 4 x 100-meter freestyle relay team at the Paris Olympics. The team, consisting of Jack Alexy, Chris Guiliano, Hunter Armstrong, and Caeleb Dressel, clinched victory with a lead of 1.07 seconds over the silver medalists, Australia. Guiliano played a crucial role by propelling the team into the lead during his second-leg swim.
Earlier in the day, the team successfully advanced through the qualifying round, securing their spot in the finals.
Guiliano is set to pursue individual glory starting Sunday at 5 a.m. in the heats of the 200 freestyle. The semifinals will follow at 2:50 p.m., with the finals slated for 2:40 p.m. on Monday.
Currently, Guiliano is preparing for his senior year at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
Phillies Crush Guardians 8-0 Behind Tyler Phillips’ Complete Game Shutout

The Philadelphia Phillies rediscovered their early-season form with a commanding 8-0 victory over the Cleveland Guardians on Saturday at Citizens Bank Park. Rookie pitcher Tyler Phillips led the way with a complete game shutout, allowing just four hits and striking out four.
The game featured key moments, including a standing ovation for new left fielder Austin Hays and the announcement of the Phillies acquiring former All-Star reliever Carlos Estévez from the Los Angeles Angels. The Phillies' offense exploded in the fourth inning with seven runs, highlighted by home runs from Bryce Harper, Brandon Marsh, and Kyle Schwarber. Harper's homer marked his 100th at Citizens Bank Park.
Nick Castellanos added a solo home run in the sixth inning, his 15th of the season. Phillips' dominant performance on the mound, in just his fourth MLB game, solidified the Phillies' win and marked the fourth complete game by a Phillies pitcher this season.
