YW3CA Announces Major South Pool Restoration at Recreational Complex

Exciting updates are underway at the YW3CA Recreational Complex, particularly with the restoration of the previously inoperable South Pool on N. Adams St. This project includes essential upgrades to the HVAC and filtration systems, pool liner, structure, and decking.

Once completed, the South Pool will offer various health and wellness, recreation, leisure, and water safety programs at free or reduced rates. To support this mission, donations can be made by visiting YW3CA.org and selecting Pool Renovation & Aquatics Programming from the donation menu.

Paranormal Cirque III Brings Thrilling Performances to Pottstown

Paranormal Cirque III is set to enthrall audiences at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets from July 18 to 21, 2024. This unique production features a mix of acrobatics, contortion, aerial acts, and more, creating a thrilling and sensual experience. Under a black and white Big Top Tent, attendees will encounter eerie performances by zombies, witches, vampires, and ghosts. Directed by Manuel Rebecchi, the show combines state-of-the-art visuals and world-class circus artistry.

Tickets are available now, with a special promotion of $5 off select tickets. The event is restricted to those 18 and older, or under 18 with a guardian, due to adult content.

Splitting Edge Axe Throwing Joins Pottstown's 4th of July Street Festival

Splitting Edge Axe Throwing in Pottstown will be closed indoors on Thursday, July 4, but will join the festivities outside on High Street at the 4th of July Street Festival. After the parade, from 12 PM to 4 PM, visitors can enjoy axe throwing on the Axe Trailer. This unique activity offers a fun way to celebrate Independence Day and try out your skills in a festive outdoor setting. Come and give it a whirl!

Phillies Rally Past Marlins with
Turner's Key Hit in 7-6 Victory

The Philadelphia Phillies edged out the Miami Marlins with a 7-6 win on Sunday, thanks to Trea Turner's crucial two-run single in the seventh inning. Despite being short-handed and making five errors, the Phillies rallied from a 6-2 deficit. Alec Bohm homered, and Nick Castellanos contributed three RBIs. The win maintains the Phillies' top MLB record at 55-29. Seranthony Dominguez earned the win with a scoreless seventh, while Jeff Hoffman secured his sixth save. Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, and J.T. Realmuto remained on the injured list.

Julian Carranza Transfers to Feyenoord After Stellar Union Career

Julian Carranza has officially joined Dutch club Feyenoord after two and a half successful seasons with the Philadelphia Union. His contract details remain undisclosed, but the Union retain a sell-on percentage for future transfers.

Carranza was instrumental in the Union's achievements, including reaching the MLS Cup final in 2022. He scored 34 goals and made 15 assists in 74 league appearances, becoming the fourth-highest goal scorer in Union history. His move to Feyenoord, who will play in the Champions League, marks a significant step in his career.
