Pottstown Students Gain STEM Opportunities Thanks to
Generous Donation

William (Bill) Lowa, III, and Lisa Carideo Lowa

Thanks to a significant donation from William (Bill) Lowa, III, and Lisa Carideo Lowa to Montgomery County Community College’s Foundation, fifth through eighth-grade students in the Pottstown School District will now have the opportunity to participate in missions at the Challenger Learning Center at Montco Pottstown.

This initiative, inspired by the couple’s dedication to education and community, will support STEM education by allowing students to engage in simulated space missions, fostering interest in science and technology. The Learning Center, located in the former PECO building, has already impacted nearly 7,500 children since its opening in 2022.

American Heritage Credit Union’s Car Show Benefits Kids-N-Hope Foundation

The American Heritage Credit Union and BIG 98.1 hosted their 20th Annual Car Show and Member Appreciation Day, raising $25,000 for the Kids-N-Hope Foundation. The event attracted over 8,000 attendees and showcased more than 250 classic, muscle, and modern cars. Trophies were awarded in categories such as Antique, Modern, and Exotic. The day featured a craft show with 40 vendors, a petting zoo, and a live broadcast by BIG 98.1. Proceeds will support pediatric health services and music therapy programs at local hospitals, continuing the Foundation’s mission to enhance children's lives through creative outlets.
