SoulJoel’s is thrilled to present a laugh-filled evening with the highly anticipated Talent's Friday Night Comedy Jam featuring none other than the comedic genius, John Henton. This special event, headlined by Henton himself and showcasing Talent, promises an unforgettable night of humor and entertainment.

The doors opening tonight at 8pm and the show kicking off at 8:30 pm. Tickets are a steal at just $25 for general admission and $35 for VIP seats, ensuring everyone has the chance to join in the laughter at 50 Sunnybrook Road, Pottstown, PA 19464.

John Henton, a comedian who vividly remembers his roots in the world of stand-up, has entertained audiences across the country with his fresh jokes and relatable narratives. Taking a brief hiatus to guest star on a "Hannah Montana" episode, Henton's journey includes a standout performance at the 2005 Montreal International Comedy Festival – Just For Laughs, where his infectious laughter led to an additional show request. Henton's dynamic partnership with "Living Single" co-star Kim Coles has also been a source of delight for audiences far and wide.

Having carved a niche for himself on television with memorable roles in "Living Single" and "The Hughleys," Henton has earned critical acclaim, including NAACP Image Award nominations. His foray into comedy began unexpectedly in 1982, leading him from a computer science student to a comedy club sensation and eventually to Los Angeles to pursue his passion full-time. His big break on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" catapulted his career, marking the beginning of numerous television and comedy special appearances.

Despite his Los Angeles residence, Henton's heart remains in Cleveland, his birthplace. Outside of comedy, he cherishes time with his daughter, Nicole Simone Henton, and is currently honing his golf skills.

Pottstown YMCA to Celebrate Children’s Health and Wellness at Annual Fair

The Pottstown YMCA is thrilled to host the annual Healthy Kids Day fair, a free event dedicated to promoting wellness and healthy living among children. This engaging fair will take place on Saturday, April 20th, from 10 a.m. to noon, located at 724 N. Adams St. Additionally, Hobart's Run will be participating, providing valuable information at their table. Everyone is invited to join in the fun and learn more about fostering a healthy lifestyle for our kids. Pottsgrove Students Receive Dual-Use IDs for School and Library Access

The Pottsgrove School District announces a beneficial initiative where all its students will now have a personal Pottsgrove student ID, which also functions as a library card for the Pottstown Regional Public Library. Elementary students’ ID cards were sent home today, while older students have received theirs previously. This move, thanks to a partnership with the Pottstown Regional Public Library, aims to simplify the borrowing process and improve access to the library’s extensive resources for students.
