🎭 Experience the Joy of Theater for All: Steel River Playhouse's
Relaxed Performances

Relaxed performances are a thoughtful initiative by the performing arts community to create an inclusive atmosphere where everyone can enjoy live theater. These performances are specifically designed to be welcoming and accommodating for individuals with ADD, ADHD, dementia, autism, sensory sensitivities, and anyone else who prefers a space where self-expression is encouraged without fear of judgment. The Steel River Playhouse has embraced this wonderful concept and invites all interested patrons to experience theater in a new, more comfortable light.
To ensure accessibility and enjoyment for all, Steel River Playhouse offers a Relaxed Performance for the first Saturday matinee of each production. This unique offering is an opportunity for individuals and their families to experience live performances in an environment tailored to their needs, where the usual restrictions on movement and noise are lifted, allowing for a more expressive and enjoyable theater experience.
For those interested in learning more about these performances or to view the pre-show guide, Steel River Playhouse has made information available on their website. Additionally, tickets for these shows can be directly purchased through their online ticketing platform. This initiative not only broadens the scope of theater accessibility but also enriches the cultural landscape by embracing diversity and inclusivity in the arts.

Unlock Your Child’s Culinary Creativity with Our Cooking Workshop

The anticipation is building for MCCC’s Kid’s Cooking Workshop set for March 30th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Designed for young chefs aged 10-15, this workshop offers a unique opportunity for kids to dive into the culinary world. At a cost of $75 and under the course code LLGI 3510, participants will embark on a culinary adventure where they'll learn essential kitchen skills.
The workshop promises to teach basic knife handling techniques, a variety of common culinary and baking methods, and how to whip up delicious recipes that can be easily recreated at home. This is an excellent chance for children who have a keen interest in cooking, wish to enhance their culinary skills, or simply want to engage in a fun and tasty activity.
