Traffic Alert: Evergreen Road Closure Begins Monday for Construction Work

Traffic cone

Evergreen Road in both Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove will be temporarily closed for the entire week due to construction. This initiative is part of a broader campaign in the greater Philadelphia region aimed at bolstering stormwater management systems. This effort comes in response to the frequent flooding experienced on this and other roads during recent severe weather episodes.

Specifically, in Limerick, the section of Evergreen Road stretching from Linfield Road to Lightcap Road will be closed to traffic 24/7. To navigate around this closure, drivers will be directed along a detour route encompassing Rupert Road, High Street, Pleasantview Road, and Linfield Road, facilitating the replacement of stormwater drains.

The road will remain closed day and night from Monday, March 18, to Friday, March 22. Traffic delays are anticipated as a result of this closure, so drivers are encouraged to plan their travels in advance and consider using alternative routes.

Kids-N-Hope Foundation to Host Virtual 5K for Pediatric Healthcare Services

The Kids-N-Hope Foundation is thrilled to present its 3rd Annual Rhapsody and Rhythm Walk-A-Thon & 5K, a virtual fundraising event set to take place this spring. From April 7 through April 13, 2024, participants are invited to walk at their leisure to complete a 5K distance, all in support of pediatric health and life services, including music therapy, in the Greater Philadelphia area.
