From Marriage to Parenthood:
SoulJoel's Comedy Special
Promises Universal Humor

SoulJoel's Comedy Club is thrilled to announce an upcoming comedy event that promises to leave the audience in stitches, "Married, Single, and a Baby." Scheduled for a special Valentine's Day performance on Wednesday at 8:00 PM, with doors opening at 7pm, this show is set to light up SunnyBrook's indoor venue. Tickets are attractively priced at $20 for general admission and $30 for VIP access, making it an accessible evening out for everyone. The venue is located at 50 Sunnybrook Road, Pottstown, PA 19464, and tickets can be secured through SoulJoel's website.
The show will feature an ensemble of three seasoned comedians: Joe Bublewicz, Vanessa Hollingshead, and Chris Monty. Each will explore the humor found in different life stages, from marriage and single life to the adventures of new parenthood. Joe Bublewicz, with his quarter-century of stand-up experience and a staple at The Borgata in Atlantic City, delves into the delights and dilemmas of marriage. Vanessa Hollingshead offers a witty commentary on single life in the age of social media, drawing on her extensive experience in stand-up and television. Chris Monty, a new father himself, brings laughter to the bittersweet and chaotic journey of parenthood. Together, they promise a night filled with laughter that touches on the universal experiences of relationships, independence, and parenting.
Joe Bublewicz, beyond his comedic pursuits, has stood alongside comedy greats such as Sebastian Maniscalco and Ray Romano, bringing a seasoned sarcasm to the stage. Vanessa Hollingshead, known for her role in the Showtime special "Funny Women of a Certain Age," brings her seasoned perspective on single life, while Chris Monty, with his Amazon Prime special and a knack for storytelling, humorously navigates the joys of late fatherhood.

MCCC hosts 10th Annual Tri-County
High School Art Exhibition
Opening reception is Tuesday, Feb. 13, 5-7 p.m.

Come and enjoy an incredible display of creativity as budding artists from 20 area high schools in Montgomery, Berks and Chester counties share their talents at Montgomery County Community College’s 10th Annual Tri-County High School Art Exhibition and Competition in the College’s North Hall Art Gallery of the Montco Cultural Center, 16 East High Street, Pottstown.
The exhibition features an impressive array of 180 artworks in a variety of media, including oils, watercolors, ceramics, prints, sculpture and more. The exhibit opens Tuesday, Feb. 13, with an artists’ reception and awards ceremony from 5 to 7 p.m. (awards begin at 6 p.m.). Both the reception and exhibit are free and open to the community. Convenient parking is available along High Street and in the College’s parking lot at 101 College Drive.
"The exhibit is a glimpse of the remarkable projects that area art teachers are orchestrating with their students,” said Patrick Rodgers, MCCC Galleries Director. “Now in its 10th year, this exhibition has grown from a handful of schools to a dozen in 2018 to the 20 schools participating in this year’s show. The current exhibit features the work of more than 150 talented high school students from as far apart as Haverford and Reading. I am always in awe of the dedication of the art teachers involved in this show as well as the imagination of their students, and I’m so glad we can celebrate all of that together in Pottstown.”
This year’s juror is Rebecca Carpenter, a fine art photographer who taught art at the elementary and high school levels for 16 years. Her current work uses models and abandoned structures in Pennsylvania and elsewhere to create evocative and texturally rich photographs.
Carpenter selected a number of pieces for special recognition, including:

Southeastern Pennsylvania Braces for Snow, Wind Gusts as Coastal Storm Approaches
Southeastern Pennsylvania is on alert for a coastal storm expected to bring snowfall from Monday night through Tuesday, with the amount still uncertain. Berks County could see 2 to 4 inches of snow, accompanied by strong wind gusts, under a winter storm watch. Depending on the storm's development, this could be adjusted to a winter weather advisory. The storm also promises challenging travel conditions, particularly during Tuesday's commutes. While the northern areas anticipate heavier snow, the precise impact in southeastern Pennsylvania hinges on the storm's path and the extent of cold air it brings. Heavy rain will precede the snowfall on Monday evening, with minimal snow expected near the I-95 corridor.
