Rockwell Development Group, led by Greg Lingo, has begun a mixed-use project at 269 and 305 High Street in downtown Pottstown, transforming former retail spaces into market rate apartments and commercial areas. This development, supported by Pottstown Area Economic Development (PAED), aims to rejuvenate the downtown area, enhancing its appeal as a destination for living and business. The project reflects a broader effort to revitalize Pottstown's urban core, leveraging historical buildings for contemporary use while maintaining a focus on community benefit and economic growth.

Indulge in Tradition at the Boyertown Museum’s Fastnacht Day Festivities

The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles invites the public to its popular Fastnacht Day event at Fegely’s Reading Diner, offering homemade fastnachts and coffee at nostalgic prices. This tradition, rooted in southeastern Pennsylvania's German immigrant history, signifies the consumption of rich foods before Lent. The event also features access to the Museum’s extensive collection of Pennsylvania’s road transportation history, including live demonstrations and docent tours. The Museum, a nonprofit organization, preserves over ninety locally manufactured vehicles and historic roadside architecture. It is open daily, with admission priced at $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and AAA members, and free for those under 15.

Plane Crash in Chester County Claims Life of School Board President

The community of Chester County is mourning the loss of Octoraro School Board President Sam Ganow, who perished in a small plane crash along with the pilot, just minutes after takeoff. The incident occurred near an Amish farmhouse and a cabinetry shop in West Caln Township, narrowly avoiding a direct hit on a residential structure. Ganow, remembered for his 26 years of service on the school board and his role as a family man, was flying a 1978 Grumman GA-7 aircraft. The FAA and NTSB are investigating the crash, which has heightened local concerns about the safety of living near an airport.
