Duo Sentenced for Stealing Copper Piping from Vacant Pottstown Residence

Francisco Rubio Jr. and Michelle Myers have been sentenced for stealing copper piping from a vacant Pottstown residence. Rubio received 11½ to 23 months in jail for felony burglary, while Myers got 21 days to 12 months for receiving stolen property. Both are banned from the property they targeted.

Pottstown's Local Talent Showcased in PAAG Winter Exhibit at MCCC

The Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) is hosting the Pottstown Area Artists Guild (PAAG) members-only Winter Show at its North Hall Gallery in Pottstown.

The exhibit, open to the public and running until January 28, features over 75 artworks across various mediums, including oils, watercolors, and sculptures. Free to visit, the show is part of MCCC and PAAG's ongoing collaboration since 2018, celebrated for its diverse and dynamic artwork, ranging from experimental paintings to evocative photography.

Visitors can participate by voting for their favorite piece, with the winner announced at the exhibit's conclusion. PAAG, dedicated to promoting art in the tri-county area, organizes several art-related events and is gearing up for its annual Spring Art Show. The gallery, under the direction of Patrick Rodgers, is open weekdays, with specific hours listed, and will be closed on January 15 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
