Comedy Night for a Cause: Lower Pottsgrove Society Hosts Bret Ernst

SoulJoel's Comedy Club is hosting a special event to benefit the Lower Pottsgrove Historical Society, featuring the renowned comedian Bret Ernst. The fundraiser will take place at SoulJoel’s at SunnyBrook in Pottstown, PA, on Thursday, November 30th, with doors opening at 6pm and the show starting at 7pm. Tickets are reasonably priced, with general admission at $20 and VIP tickets at $30. The venue is located at 50 Sunnybrook Road, Pottstown, PA 19464. Additionally, guests have the opportunity to dine at Gatsby’s Pub before the show, with 10% of their bill being donated to the cause.

Bret Ernst, the headlining act, is widely celebrated for his over 25 years of experience in standup comedy. Known for his role as “Cousin Louie LaRusso” in the hit Netflix series Cobra Kai, Ernst is recognized by fellow comedians for his raw, edgy storytelling. He gained national attention through Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show and has a successful standup album, "American Comic," which ranked in the iTunes top ten. His television appearances include standup performances on CBS, Showtime, and Comedy Central, along with acting roles in various shows and films. His groundbreaking one-hour comedy special, "Principal’s Office," was the first self-distributed online special by a standup comedian, leading the way for others in the industry. Ernst's latest special, "Domesticated Animal," continues to captivate audiences with his unique blend of streetwise and introspective humor.

New Crosswalk Installation Marks Progress in Streets for All Program

The installation of a new crosswalk at W Main and S Hanover Street in North Coventry Township marks a significant step in the region's efforts to enhance walkability and safety. Drew Lynch, a comedian with a captivating story, is the star of the evening. Lynch, who became a household name with his Golden Buzzer performance in the 10th season of "America’s Got Talent," has a motto that speaks volumes: “Do something every day that scares you.” His journey to comedy was unexpected, beginning with a dream of acting that took a turn after a life-altering accident at 20, which left him with a severe stutter. Suspect in Custody Following the Death of 85-Year-Old in Lower Pottsgrove

In Lower Pottsgrove, a collaborative investigation is underway following the tragic death of an 85-year-old woman. The incident occurred at a residence on North Keim Street. Responding to an emergency call, authorities discovered the woman, identified as Margaret Seltmann, deceased inside the home. An official autopsy is scheduled by the Montgomery County Coroner's Office. Early indications suggest a domestic nature to the incident, with a suspect reportedly in custody.

Norristown Man Sentenced to Jail for Child Pornography Charges

Francis Robert Bingham III of Norristown has been sentenced to jail for possessing and distributing child pornography. This decision follows his guilty plea to felony charges. The court has imposed a strict set of conditions on Bingham, including prolonged court supervision, restrictions on internet access and contact with minors, and a long-term obligation to report his address as a sex offender.
