REO SPEEDWAGON & RICK SPRINGFIELD Coming to Santander Arena

Classic Rock hitmakers REO Speedwagon and Rick Springfield are joining forces for an upcoming tour and just announced a stop at Santander Arena on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Tickets start at $35 plus applicable fees and go on sale Friday, November 3, at 10 a.m.

About REO Speedwagon

Formed in 1967, signed in 1971, and fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon’s unrelenting drive, as well as non-stop touring and recording jump-started the burgeoning rock movement in the Midwest. Platinum albums and radio staples soon followed, setting the stage for the release of the band’s explosive Hi Infidelity in 1980, which contained the massive hit singles “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It On the Run.” That landmark album spent 15 weeks in the No. 1 slot and has since earned the RIAA’s coveted 10X Diamond Award for surpassing sales of 10 million units in the United States.

From 1977 to 1989, the band released nine consecutive albums all certified Platinum or higher. Today, REO Speedwagon has sold more than 40 million albums around the globe, and Cronin and bandmates Bruce Hall (bass), Dave Amato (guitar), Bryan Hitt (drums), and Derek Hilland (touring keyboardist) are still electrifying audiences worldwide in concert with hits and fan-favorites such as “Ridin’ The Storm Out,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Time For Me To Fly,” “Roll With The Changes,” the aforementioned “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It On the Run,” and many, many more.

About Rick Springfield

Rick Springfield is a versatile entertainer with a remarkable career spanning over four decades. As a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and musician, he has sold 25 million albums and delivered 17 U.S. Top 40 hits, including classics like "Jessie's Girl" and "Don't Talk to Strangers." Beyond music, he's made his mark as an accomplished actor in films like "Ricki and the Flash" and TV series like "Supernatural" and "American Horror Story."

Springfield is also a celebrated author with works such as his candid memoir "Late, Late at Night" and the comedic novel "Magnificent Vibration." His dedication to his craft and continuous creativity have earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Despite his long-lasting success, he remains committed to pushing boundaries and connecting with audiences through his music. In 2019, he released "Orchestrating My Life," a collection of his hits reimagined with a rock orchestra and a touching tribute to his late mother. Rick Springfield's enduring impact on the entertainment world has been aptly dubbed "The Rickonaissance."

Jalen Hurts Overcomes Knee Concerns, Eagles Top Cowboys to Lead NFL
with 8-1 Record

Eagles

Despite a knee scare, Jalen Hurts led the Philadelphia Eagles to a victory over the Dallas Cowboys with a score of 28-23, maintaining the best record in the NFL at 8-1. Hurts threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another, demonstrating resilience even after a hit that had him limping off the field.

The game's climax saw the Cowboys nearly pull off a last-minute win, advancing to the 6-yard line with help from Eagles' penalties. However, the Eagles' defense, including a crucial sack by Josh Sweat and a game-ending tackle by Darius Slay, sealed the win. Dak Prescott of the Cowboys threw for 374 yards and three touchdowns, with CeeDee Lamb catching 11 passes for 191 yards.

The Eagles, with their strong performance, appear poised for another deep playoff run, assuming Hurts' knee injury doesn't become a hindrance. Hurts, who was the 2022 NFL MVP runner-up, has downplayed the severity of his knee issue and continued to play effectively.

Philadelphia's defense was pivotal, with linebacker Zach Cunningham making a game-changing play and a Cowboys touchdown being overturned upon review. The Eagles' offense also shone, with Kenneth Gainwell scoring early and Hurts setting a team record for quarterback rushing touchdowns.

Injuries were noted for Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean and tight end Dallas Goedert.

Oh…and check out this Absolute DIME!!!

Looking ahead, the Cowboys will face the Giants, while the Eagles have a bye week before meeting the Kansas City Chiefs in a highly anticipated Super Bowl rematch.
