Nick Castellanos shined with his 29th homer, while Cristopher Sánchez struck out 10 over seven innings. Despite the victory, celebrations are on hold as wins by the Chicago Cubs and Miami Marlins delayed the Phillies' wild-card clinch. The team, which ended a significant playoff drought last year, has bounced back from a slow start this season and is eyeing a top wild card spot.
They'll attempt to seal their playoff berth in the upcoming game against Pittsburgh, with Aaron Nola taking the mound. Meanwhile, the team's enthusiasm remains high as they inch closer to postseason action, reflecting on the journey since spring training. The game also saw notable performances from J.T. Realmuto and a promising debut from reliever Orion Kerkering.
