Bridge Examination Set for Armand Hammer Boulevard in Lower Pottsgrove Township

PennDOT has revealed plans to conduct a bridge inspection on Armand Hammer Boulevard in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County. The following traffic disruptions are anticipated:

On Saturday, September 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, there will be a lane closure on Armand Hammer Boulevard, spanning from Industrial Highway to Medical Drive. Motorists are encouraged to allocate additional travel time as delays are expected. Please note that the planned activities are subject to weather conditions.

This inspection is a segment of PennDOT's ongoing initiative to maintain the safety and integrity of its structures.

Chester County to Host Town Halls for Community Affected by 14-Day Manhunt for Escaped Convict

Chester County residents affected by the recent 14-day search for the fugitive murderer Danelo Cavalcante can express their concerns at two forthcoming town hall meetings. The initial session is scheduled for Monday evening at Pocopson Elementary School, with the Chester County Commissioners spearheading the gatherings to provide assistance, counseling information, and updates on enhancing prison security measures.

Cavalcante, who managed to elude hundreds of police officers while committing various crimes including burglary and theft, was apprehended on Wednesday morning. The subsequent town hall is planned for Wednesday evening, with both events commencing at 7 p.m.

Nine Youths Break Free from Abraxas Academy in Berks County; Authorities Launch Multi-Agency Response



On Sunday evening, nine young individuals broke free from Abraxas Academy, a youth correctional facility, as confirmed by the Berks County District Attorney.

The breakout occurred shortly past 8 p.m. at the institution situated at 1000 Academy in Morgantown, as per the statements from the District Attorney's office.

Various organizations are currently addressing the situation, as reported by the District Attorney's office.

At the moment, it remains uncertain whether there were any injuries during the event.

This incident follows the recent apprehension of Danelo Cavalcante, a felon found guilty of murder, who was seized following a two-week pursuit in Chester County.

Most Wanted in Berks PA

  • 60-year-old Dale Dewald, last seen at Maple Street, Reading, is wanted for retail theft, corruption of minors, and simple assault. On August 15, he and a minor allegedly stole items from a Sheetz gas station in Cumru Township, followed by an assault on the minor. Charges were filed post his release by the police. Dewald is 6'1" and weighs 145 pounds.

  • 32-year-old Kevin Afre, last located at Hampden Boulevard, Reading, is wanted for strangulation charges stemming from an incident on October 30, where he allegedly assaulted a woman, causing her breathing difficulties. The victim managed to free herself. Afre, who also has an outstanding Berks County probation warrant, fled the scene. He is 5'6" and weighs 185 pounds.

Most Wanted in Montgomery County PA

  • 18-year-old Ariana Mone Haley is facing one count of retail theft. She allegedly filled two carts with merchandise at the Redner's Market on 1300 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown, PA, but did not pay for all the items at checkout before fleeing. An investigation identified her and charges have been filed.

  • 18-year-old Anyae Latiesh Riley is wanted on a bench warrant issued by District Justice Kropp for failing to appear in court on charges of retail theft and under-ring at the Redner's Market located at 1300 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown, PA.

  • Brendon Robert Brown is facing multiple charges including theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and making terroristic threats. Brown allegedly took a vehicle without the owner's permission from the 2100 block of Foxtail Drive, Pottstown, PA, and made threats while leaving the location.

  • 18-year-old William Henry Isaacs is facing charges for providing a materially false written statement and making a statement under penalty during an attempted firearm purchase at General Arms, located at 2060 N. Pleasantview Road, Pottstown, PA. Isaacs allegedly gave false information, knowing he was not allowed to own a firearm.
