Phillies Prevail 6-2 Over Dodgers Amid Earthquake Shaken Seventh Inning

In a thrilling National League showdown, the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-2. The game, held at Dodger Stadium, saw a surprising twist when a magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck during the seventh inning. The epicenter was near Mettler, California, but the tremor did not disturb the game or the crowd of 47,150 spectators.
Phillies pitcher Cristopher Sánchez delivered a strong performance, allowing just one run and five hits over six innings. The Phillies opened the scoring in the fifth inning when Kyle Schwarber's RBI single ended Clayton Kershaw's night. Kershaw, making only his third start of the season, pitched 4 2/3 innings, conceding one run on five hits with five strikeouts.
The Phillies extended their lead in the sixth inning with three more runs, highlighted by Edmundo Sosa's two-run single. Dodgers' reliever Brusdar Graterol, recently back from injury, had to exit the game with a strained right hamstring, and his replacement, Brent Honeywell, struggled to contain the Phillies' offense.

Defensively, Dodgers' right fielder Andy Pages made an impressive play, catching J.T. Realmuto's fly ball and throwing out Bryce Harper at third base to end the seventh inning.
In terms of player updates, the Phillies' Ranger Suárez is set for a simulated game in Arizona, and Taijuan Walker will continue his rehab. For the Dodgers, Yoshinobu Yamamoto is preparing for a return to action.
